Me as well, which is why this whole fiasco has me so mad.

If Molson did force Gauthier to fire Martin, we're in for a loooooooooong 10+ years.

GM: Julien Brisebois

Coach: Patrick Roy

They are young, Habs core is young. They are exactly what we need.

Why not Peter Budaj as GM. It worked for the Islanders

I say give it to Mcguire and Roy so everyone can stop and stare at the massive fail that ensues like a 15 car bloody accident on the highway that everyone stops and stares at; cuz you just can't avert your eyes

He'd be awful dude. Sorry people need to learn how to distinguish wash-up now sports analyst who talks a lot of **** versus legitimate GM material. The notion that any team (regardless who) should hire Pierre McGuire is a big ****ing joke. He's as much an armchair GM as anyone on this forum backed by a bit more knowledge. I'd rather Whitesnake be our GM for ****s sake (And for the record I mean that as a compliment to WS not an insult)

Pierre McGuire isn't a complete idiot but he's definitely not a legitimate candidate for any GM job and if he ever gets one I'm almost certain he will fail.
I'm almost certain you have no idea what you're talking about.

I wouldn't hate McGuire as a head scout.. Not sure how he'd do as a GM, but he does evaluate talent pretty well..

GM. This change has to be made now. PG is a lame duck and will not be allowed to make move. If he's allowed to stay then Molson has basically given up on the year, unfortunately if we give up on the year we're likely to want to make trades and not many players on the club have a positive trade value. The Markov fiasco has set this club back for a couple years and that's all on PG. He's a great player, but you can't roll the dice like that without knowing he's 100 per cent.

Bring in Serge Savard on an interim basis, he'll bring immediate credibility to the job, and he's won the cup. The french media might finally shut up for a minute. He might actually take the gig on an interim basis to see if he still wants to deal with the crap. At least with Serge I'm not going to be cringing at every move. Bob Gainey also needs to be moved out of the office. I love the guy but as long as he's in there people will wonder who's in control. It's his contract that have created part of this mess.

Coaches

I feel so bad for Randy Cunneyworth. He's been handed a big steaming pile of **** and told to make it taste good. JM clearly alienated part of this team. RC may not be able fix it and the part that liked JM may have a problem playing for him. Again if he's allowed to close the season, and that's a big if, my guess is that he can't win a game during this road trip he's gonzo.... unless of course that's the plan, to get into the lottery and a top pick.

If the coach needs to speak french then so be it, but not Patrick Roy. For this lineup he's entirely too flammable. Maybe in a couple years but for god sakes not now.

Don't laugh... Carbo... he's respected in the game and I think the reason he lost his job before was Kovalev.

Jacques Demers isn't far removed from the game and knows how to run a room, at least for the short term.

Marc Crawford would be ok. He'll let the forwards loose and we may actually be able to score a goal.

Yeah the 1-3-1 system that he plays isn't boring and defensive....some of the same things people hated about Martin.

Jacques Martin was a good coach. His record proves it. He just needs some better players to coach and everything would be fine.

I could give a flying **** if people hated Martin's system and found it boring. It gave us chance to win everynight.

Boucher's would do well with these players.

Martin's future with the team was written in the sky as soon as Gauthier fired Pearn.

Gauthier had his guys (and spies) in position (the two Randys), and the finger on the eject button, right from the start of the season.

This season is turnoing into the biggest farce in the habs History.

Shameful.

I dunno if Roy prefers the GM job or the coaching job.... I got a feeling he would prefer to coach. But the GM job is far more secure.

Roy has loads of repect for Groulx in Gatineau. Carbo is one of his best friend. And Therrien is a good friend of Carbo.

Savard is like 70 and away fron the NHL circle since more than a decade now.

He would had made a good President. Molson should had kept selling beer.

If Gauthier is fired like this week or next, Larry Carri่re and Timmins could be kept to finish the year...Unless Gainey comes back...

So long as it's English Canadian talent.

Timmins is one of the best in the business. It'd be a crying shame if he was a casualty of this mess.

Molson needs to clean house ASAP!!!

Dig deep in your pocket and hire an All-Star team of coaches. Lemaire-Robinson-Tremblay and Damphousse in the head office!

No more f-n'around!!!

If I think Gainey is done being a GM, I have to be consequent and say that Savard is MORE than done. A consultant? Well if you want. But not a GM.

I want a team who's surrounded the best way possible. Whether the GM is Timmins or Julien Brisebois, they still have to be well surrounded.

Hey I'll agree with you. I want some changes. It will mostly be francophone oriented. But I hope Timmins stay around. But I'm really concerned that he won't. Pretty sure about this actually unless....he's the new GM.

You're throwing out names as though you were reading from a telephone directory. It's not cool to highlight the dumb suggestions from board members. Most of the ones you list as available for coach or general manager really aren't. Clearly the most asinine suggestion is Scotty Bowman for too many reasons to enumerate, but there are many close seconds.
