I'm hoping for cheered pregame and first shift and no reaction to him after that. Who knows though.

OK Rupp, time to earn your keep. Giroux is likely vulnerable. Take him out.

They better give him a round of applause.

Pretty much this.

I don't know why it would be anything else but a cheer.

Okay, yeah, he's wearing a Flyers jersey. Big whoop. Put that aside.

Feds last 9 games. 0 Points -3. Time for him to sit in press box instead of Avery.

Makes sense.... and falls within the Torts guidelines.

Jagr is a beast and is still a threat every time he has the puck. He has always been a Ranger killer and if the preseason game against the Flyers was any indication, the Rangers will have their work cut out for them tomorrow night.

It will be interesting to see how Jags' former teammates play against him, especially Dubinsky whom Jagr helped mentor in his rookie year.

People are really superstitious like this? If we lose it's because Philly is a very good team, and we're playing our 2nd game in 2 nights. Not because Loffen didn't make the GDT.

Sucks to face the Flyers on a B2B. Hopefully their tending will have an off night.
An off night? Wouldn't that mean they'd actually be good?

I don't know about others but people are weirdly superstitious and I am certainly in that club.

I wear the same out for every Rangers playoff game and only wash it if we lose more two in a row.

Also when I used to be a pitcher I always carried a four leaf clover in my pocket that I had laminated.

While I know it may seem stupid to you and probably other people, its just the way we are wired. So have to say I agree with the other posters on here, a non Loffen GDT is somewhat nerve-racking.

On the other hand, if we win tomorrow you, like Zenith can be anointed a solid backup.

A loss however, means this could be your last

This is where Marc Staal would be a huge help. Big defenseman to help eliminate Jagr. We are going to have our hands full tomorrow.

loffen has been making GDTs for years. the rangers have had their ups and downs as he made them. t

there really shouldn't be anything to be superstitious about, it's not like the rangers are undefeated when he makes a GDT. plenty of wins and losses on his resume.

with that being said, hoping for a tough win and some good material for 24/7. LGR.

Oh yeah? well the last time i made a GDT "From the side" was born. so suck on that

I THINK i made the GDT's for when we blew out WSH and PHI which were both shutouts. I'm too lazy to look up who made them though. Is that superstitious enough?

He accumulated a -3 over 9 games playing on a line he isn't ideal for whose primary assignment is to score. Scoring isn't really his job. I doubt you'll ever see him come out of the lineup unless his effort level drops drastically. His play away from the puck hasn't suffered. I like Avery, and he should play, but I'd rather have Fedotenko in the lineup.

No, it's more of a tradition thing. He's been doing them for years, I think if you wanted to go ahead and jack a game it would be respectful to ask first. My $0.02.
