I heard Dreger on the NHL Live a few weeks ago discussing Getzlaf. Dreger spoke to a few scouts who told him Getzlaf is not playing with the same passion/edge he did before.

Not the kind of thing that you want to see out of your captain. But its tough when you are struggling like that.

I remember analysts and Calgary coming down hard on Jarome Iginla for not playing up to as expected. They started to win a couple games and noone starts to question his passion.

Don't think they'll make a Bobby Ryan trade unless they know that Suter is 100% interested in staying at a reasonable price. Weber will be a Predator next season unless they trade him.
Why does Nashville trade their assets when there's the possibility of them losing Suter and Weber. I don't believe the Ducks are interested in Suter or Weber, because the cost would be too high to trade for either one and too much to resign either one. Getzlaf and Ryan are still young enough that the Ducks could go through a couple of years of rebuilding and come out ahead. There's no rush, unless their desperate to make the playoff's this year.

Schenn, Bobrovsky, 1st maybe something else.

Somewhat agree. It'd be a very short-sighted move. I'd would be positively surprised if this happened.

That said, maybe there is a concern of his passion for the team. Not sure how they could rekindle that. And seeing how Ottawa got a lot better after the Yashin trade(I know, old reference), and Philly has gotten better after the Carter/Richards trades, it might actually be better in the long run if they land some strong talent.

Obviously u know 0 about Minnesota...

If Ducks were offered that package, Ducks run all the way to the bank.
Clutterbuck has been great this season with his physical presence and has shown offensive ability as well. Granlund is the best hockeyplayer outside NHL atm. 1st and 2nd in a top of this...

Think Ryan would get moved to Nashville should he be traded. They have the assets to acquire him without gutting the team.
They better be willing to pay extra to keep him in the Western conference.

Agreed. The only thing I can think of is dangling Ryan to see what team offers the best package and asking them to add a bit more for Getzlaf. That's all I got.

Toronto would be all over Getzlaf, I just don't know if we have the assets to get a deal done for him.

Grabo + Kadri + Scehnn + 1st??

Replace Grabo with Kuelmin and drop the 1st.

That's the best I would do.

You wont give up 2 prospects and a top 4 defernder for a PPG #1 center? You counter with less then you got for Richards who is not on the same level as Getzlaf? ya ok

No they dont.....

Clutterbuck: 24 year old that has yet to top 35 points

Granlund: Great prospect, but just that.

1st: projected to be in the bottom 10 of the draft

This is not exactly mind blowing. Ask yourself what you would want for Koivu, then imagine koivu was better then he is and there is the value of Getzlaf.

hey man, not trying to be a dick here...but how do the ducks run away with that? Granlund is a good prospect, you got a low 1st and 2nd. You kinda have that deal centered around Clutterbuck. i don't get it.

Yeah, can't see Anaheim trading Getzlaf. He will pick his game up again eventually.

My counter imo is a little more then what Flyers trade Richards for. Bobrovsky plus 1st round pick is worth more than Simmonds and I was adding Schenn not to mention I said that I would be willing to add something else but that something else will not be Couturier.

While Getzlaf is better than Richards I doubt difference is Couturier and Meszaros. That's just crazy talk. Also, Richards is signed for the next 8 years under a VERY reasoable price. Getzlaf will ask for 7-8M a year 1 year from now.

and yes I will not trade top 10 prospects like Schenn plus Couturier not ot mention adding top 4 d-men like Meszaros for one guy. Flyers are going to have 3 top 4 d-men.

Seems like Ducks could use someone like Bobrovsky on their team. Let me guess, Bobrovsky sucks?

this day in age having three 1st line forwards all still relatively young and all with a cap hit just above 5 is pretty amazing. I wouldn't break that up

maybe the idea is their contracts increase their value but if i was them id just continue adding

considering they have 17.2 million tied up into Hagman, Koivu, Selanne, Blake, Beauch they'll be able to add a lot starting next year this will be a quick rebuild
