I doubt he steps into top 6 minutes. He's probably taking Butler's spot on the 4th line.

Butler got GWG, he will take Brian Lee's 7th defenceman spot to give us 6 D, 12 Fowards

I wasn't suggesting Butler sits. Unless my count is off, with Regin and Winny out, we'd need both Butler and Hoffman in the lineup.

Based on minutes played against Florida, I see Carkner sitting before Lee does.

guys, michalek, regin, and winchester are out.

We had 11 F and 7 D last night.

Clearly he's taking one of the D's spot(hes not actually going to play D) to make it 12 F and 6 D...

And yes, he'll probably get barely any minutes on the 4th line.

Does anyone else think that?

I don't really get how that was vicious, it looked to me he totally let up and tried to avoid the guy because he knew he was in a vulnerable position.

I think he was being facetious. At least I hope so.

That would make more sense. I missed the game and only caught the highlights so I wasn't sure what the reaction was to that.

He's talking about the character from the office. It's funny, I can't get it out of my head that Maindot isn't creed. I read his posts in his voice and imagine that's what ge looks like lol

Mike Hoffman will wear #68 when he makes his NHL debut tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.

It must be incredible for these guys to get called up and collect an NHL salary for even a couple of days when they never have before.

Quick math - Hoffman's AHL salary is ~ $185 a day. In the NHL he'll get ~ $1700

Very interested in Hoffman's debut, another "off the radar" prospect

I have to PVR the game so don't put the freaking score in the PGT title!

Dude, the comment comes from "MaindotC". He's kind of a "funny" troller (I don't personally think it's funny) , or a "board agitator", a bit like Fuhr back in the old days.

i dont think its that he is not excited, to me he seems nervous and is trying to play it off like he isnt. he is also probably not used to the media so his interviews arent "nhl level" yet

Let him play bottom 6 minutes and ease him in. It's a debut.

This guys got speed and we've all seen how checkers with speed and offensive ability can be very useful.

Remember his chemistry with Butler at last year's rookie camp? Maybe it's still there.

I'm really excited to see how well Mike Hoffman will do, pairing up with Zenon Konopka is the best choice because Zenon will take down the opponents while Hoffman will help out passing the puck to his new teammates.

NICE! He's a guy I've been behind since he was drafted, always believed in him. He can be used on the PP on the point as well if needed (not so much anymore with Gonchar and Kuba back).

He'll be the third player already from the 2009 draft who plays for Ottawa (not including Rundblad).
