Look at everyone else's posts. Thats called blame. I do agree though, the last goal was soft.

i'm willing to see how it pans out with bryz for one season before i write him off. if after 82 games he still looks shakey i'll light a torch and join the rest of the villagers and demand his head. at 51mil i'm at least going to give him a year. we are stuck with him no matter what so i might as well.

the worst breakaway/shootout/penalty shot/odd man rush/shot from the point goalie in the league has actually looked better than bryzgalov lately

Despite how bad you think he is, whats more troubling is the amount of players that just set up untouched for deflections and multiple 2nd chances on rebounds.

Regardless, the better goalie should be played, however, my point is that it would be embarrassingly typical that the backup Flyers goalie starts in the biggest game of the season over the struggling #1.

Flyers still haven't figured out how to beat a trap without any kind of sustained success. This with no less than three puck-moving defensemen and the leading scorer of the league.

So we lose 3 of our last 4.

Guess who started all three L's?

whats truely sad about this is the team commited 51million$ to this problem in the off season and here we are STILL discussing goalie issues...

So even conceding the two deflection goals, if bryz plays like a top notch goalie and makes a big save on the breakaway, and doesn't **** the bed on the 4th goal the flyers might be walkin out of here with a point or two

You can argue each goal all you want but the expectation is that bryz is supposed to be a top end goalie. The results in the end indicate otherwise

It's a loss, but I liked the effort by the team. In a game like this I'd like to see Bryz stone Gaborik and not lovingly gaze at a Leightony rebound as he slowly fails to slap it. I thought our offense looked really shallow though, I guess even though Briere has struggled he's still vital.

what i really liked about that save by Lundy was his commitment to doing everything in his ability to keep it out.. he was fast as a cat reflexing to track and stop that puck..

Bryz under similar/same circumstances seem to be more likely to sit on his pads and watch the puck hit the twine, then raise his eyes to the roof..

I agree. For $51M, you have to make saves that should drive the other team batty at the very least.

No one here notices that the defense just doesn't want to know though. The first reaction is, and always will be to blame the goaltender. The defense has been dogging it all year yet they are so blame free it's scary. The amount of times opposition players go untouched when scoring ( or even having a defenseman within 5 feet for that matter) is quite frightning, and the biggest worry of this team right now.

When the team starts defending, the goaltender might start bailing them out for the chances they can't stop. Very much like Lundqvist tonight. Nothing spectacular, because the defense never let the flyers within 10 feet of the net. I've gotta give it to Bourdon, he seems like he's the only player on the team willing to fight players in the crease. Carle loves to just look at people strolling into the middle, as he did on the first goal, and Kimmo isn't big enough to stand up to a player like Boyle.

We miss Pronger so much, it's not funny.

its scary how hard it is for the flyers to get any offense going when the opposing team successfully shuts down giroux. lines need to be shifted and changes need to be made to get production from lines 2 through 4. we've never been a top line only team but we are starting to turn into one, i don't want to think that if giroux doesn't get on the score sheet we lose the game.

I thought the game was closer than the score shows.....We had about a 6 minute bad part in the 3rd period, but the difference was that the Rangers capitalized on their chances and we did not......King Henrik played a nice game tonight and the Rangers are now on top in the East.......They deserve it.....Hopefully come Jan 2nd we can carry the day and win the classic.

Was this the one that was already wide and hit the net? After our first goal?

So far as I remember, he has only ONE save like that, from the first Boston game.

WTF is Al Morgonti talking about

"This guy has been as hot as any other goaltender in the league."

When talking about Bryz.

Bah Gawd...has Coatsy been giving him liquor in between periods?

I notice.
We don't play good team defense at all. We do have a couple cupcakes on the blue line.

Bryz is supposed to compensate for the lack of defense. That's what star goaltenders do. Booshgalov, not so much. If he wants to start doing it, I'd be really excited.
