Since it seems to be popular to predict the outcome here goes: 5-3 to Carolina, Williams gets 2 and Staal, Cole and Cullen gets one each.

We only got 3 injuries now, right?

Anyways.. the car flag seems to be working.

I have a feeling this will be a great game between both clubs.

San Jose comes out flat for this one, after so much being made of their record streak of scoring. Joe Thornton has trouble historically facing Rod Brind'Amour, so look for the Captain to get a great deal of icetime and to match up well. Even if that line doesn't score, keeping Thornton off the scoresheet will give us this victory.

4-2 Hurricanes.

5-1 Sharks. Look for the San Jose 2nd line to tear the 'Canes apart

Gerber continues to put up solid numbers in a 4-2 win. Goals by Staal, Williams, Cole and Cullen with an empty netter. Thornton's line is held pointless.

Was Thornton in the lineup when Carolina beat the Bruins 4-3 in OT? For some reason, I don't think he was.

He was, he had a shot on goal, a penalty, and finished with -1.

Is Williams playing tonight or is he out with the foot injury?

Nothing official yet, but my guess is that he'll play. Big drop off from Williams to Zigomanis, and this is a good team they're facing.

Doesn't help when the refs seemed to be one-sided. Laughable miss on the non-call to Nabokov there.

gerber call was so bad, the shark announcers were making fun of it. we got what we deserved for some shaky coverage around the net. i dont get the previous posters comment about thornton, perhaps you could explain.

I'm pretty sure it was in reference to the poster above asking if Thornton played in the Boston game. I'm also pretty sure that it's borderline trolling. Tread carefully.

The funny thing is, the jersey wasnt in THE spot because the roomie was having company and I didnt want it to get messed up....

it really was totally my fault.

EDIT: I also completely forgot to mention this....I was at the RBC center volunteering during Disney on Ice yesterday....oh my god. The ice is horrible. There are HUGE holes...and I mean huge holes. Hopefully its back to good ice before tomorrow nights game.
