I thought Hank was special tonight. He did not allow a rebound all night long. He swallowed up every single shot. I don't think Philly had any second chances the entire night. Hank was outstanding.

The entire team was great defensively. When Philly was in the zone, the Rangers collasped between the circles not allowing them any offensive flow.

And they were even better in the neutral zone. Mickey D and the blueline were constantly breaking up plays before they even entered our zone.

The Good: The Defense. Lundqvist. Shutting down Giroux's Line. Betting on the Rangers and winning .
The Bad: JVR's goal, Gaborik possibly being hurt.
The Redden: Hartnell, you POS.

1st Star: McDonagh
2nd Star: Lundqvist
3rd Star: Bickel

The Flyers were the best team in the league on the road, I don't know if they still are. Anyway, half of their losses on the road is against us.

Awful, awful 1st period, followed up by some awesome hockey in the 2nd and 3rd. I bet Torts ripped into them during the first intermission.

POTG: Hank was fantastic through and through. Some games he just locks in and tonight he literally let in no rebounds.

Good: Boyle had another great great game. Dubinsky was awesome. Del Zotto continues to dominate on both sides of the ice. Our top pairing played fantastic. Bickel getting the job done. A lot of goods tonight.

Bad: Just the first period, but everyone was pretty awful.

Redden: The Devils winning in a ****ing shootout again. They are literally like 8-1 in the god damn shootout.

Jagr was flat out dominant as well.

Good way to end the week. Tomorrow I depart for the land where the beer flows like wine.

I'm usually one of Boyle's biggest critics but I thought he was great tonight. As was Mitchell and Dubinsky.

Great win. So happy right now. Hank was stellar. McD was ****ing incredible. I really like the way that Dubi has been playing the past couple games. I know hes gotta start finding the net more but he just looks so much more confident with the puck. Such an exciting game to watch with great efforts from just about everyone. Loving what Bickel has brought to the table. Playing a real simple and poised game while getting on the score sheet 4 times in 3 games. Its really comforting watching these guys just step in with the absence of three of our top six guys. Couldn't ask for much more from this team. Oh, and Gabby has just been ridiculous!

1) Henrik
2) Macdonagh
3) Bickel

Henrik is starting to make those key saves to keep the team in the game.

Simple formula -- make key saves early, let team score first goal, make key saves immediately after, let team build on lead.

When Henrik is stopping everyting in sight, it sets the tone for the entire game. Flyers had the edge in play but you could see them get frustrated with Lundqvist, that they resorted to fancy plays and over-passing.

I'm really surprised the team is playing this weel without Staal and Sauer. That's the sign of a good, balanced team. Get a LW sinper who can bury the puck, along with Sauer and Staal back healthy, and it's going to be tough to beat this team in 7 games.

All that said, Richards needs to pick it up. They're winning, but he isnt setting up good scoring chances anymore.

McD
Bickel
Hank

Would've actually taken Stralman over McD if he'd been a choice.

Missed the game unfortunately, but nice to see Bickel's name popping up as a positive. Any summary of how he played?

Also as much as I hate him and his team, Giroux is a joy to watch in person.

I think Torts may have flipped a switch in Boyle after that first 24/7 episode.. he's been playing a lot more physical and is finding more chances. Points will come if he keeps it up. Especially with Dubi finding a rhythm at the same time.

Decided I'd finally join the conversations haha, I've been reading for a while.. Happy Holidays everyone.

Anyone know when the last time the Rangers had at least 3 winning streaks of at least 4 in a season? I remember the season before the lockout we didn't win 3 straight all season.

look at that GA differential to every other team in the division.

Yeah, that's ALLL Lundqvist.

I wonder when the Rangers as a team will get the respect they deserve for being one of the top defensive teams in the legaue.

The names on defence may not be flashy, but in conjunction with their all world goalie, they are damn good grouping.

In a word, solid. Played just over 9 mins, was good down low in the D-zone especially pinning the Flyers to the boards. He was responsible with the puck and just made the safe option every time. He can still work on his positional coverage away from the puck, but it's not hurting his game. He picked up two assists by again keeping things simple and getting the puck towards the net.

As for Hartnell, he was trying to get a Ranger player (Hags?) after the game was over, until Prust cruised by and gave him the evil-eye.....
