The Kings flat out need a winger with speed who can finish. It's been the same story for years and the fact that the hole still remains is infuriating. It's past time to make a move

Jack + gets you at least in the ballpark for one. Dean Lombardi has to be at least looking.

If the deadline goes by and the Kings don't have a new Winger; Dean Lombardi has sealed his own doom.

Any of these RW would look good in a kings uni.

You mean like Mat Moulson?

Mike Camm nevermind. Whatayagonnado?

Gotta find the perfect match of a speed merchant/sniper. I am done with all of the retreads that we pick up. If it takes until the offseason so be it. I hope that DS figures out his line combos sooner rather than later but that said, at least Richardson proves how effective speed can be with how many chances he gets/creates.

Now if he had any talent at all up there we would be set and he would be great.

If If If

How did Kompon keep his job over Murray? Our powerplay has been pathetic for 2 years

JVR would look good in a Kings uniform, Philly might want D to replace Pronger, and we only seem to trade with Philly or Edmonton.

How did Kompon keep his job?

One of the many great mystery's of hockey.

If anyone has proven that they just aren't going to succeed regardless of how much time you give them to do so it sure seems like JK is that guy.

the problem with acquiring the elusive winger is, DL's list of wingers he wants is very short and either those players don't want to play here or we have no chance of getting them.

got a point against a great team on the back end of a double header.

things that stick out
- we need a fast skilled winger or 2
- Kompon has to go
- if we don't use Bernier is he trade bait?
- Johnson's last 64 games = 5g 10a 15p -29
- Doughty and Brown are heating up

Comeback point on the road on a back to back? Good stuff

Whose idea was back-to-backs including road games anyway? Weaksauce

Most of our top players are playing really well right now. Kopi, Richards, Brown, Doughty, and Quick all had great games.

It's not like we know what wingers are available. So, it's hard to sit here and say go after this guy or that guy. Most teams that are in the thick of it don't want to turn their roster upside down. So, lets not pretend it's an easy fix.

Not impressed with Brent Burns. Wonder if Sharks fans still think that was a good trade.

Couple of great moments were doughty and kopi were flying. Make great passes to each other. Just something I saw.

The whole team needs some fire in the belly. Watch the third period again - every loose puck race - Kings coasting into it, Sharks skating hard onto it. They're both big, skilled teams, there's no reason the Kings shouldnt have the same mindset with the puck of 'im going through you and you're not stopping me'.

There was nothing wrong with our effort tonight. We just lost to a better team.

Believe it or not, it does happen.

I wouldn't say better at this point. I would say we lost to the team who scored the most. I know it is splitting hairs but we played the Sharks to the very last shot. Past OT and well into the shootout. It could have gone either way.

No excuses but the fact that we played two games in two nights against two very different styles of team on two very different paths had to play a small part in it too.

I don't think of the Sharks as being any better than us. Take away the last couple of weeks under TM and I think we would be right there with them. They aren't all that far ahead of us.

im referring to UFA as well. im pretty sure DL didn't go hard after gaborik or kovy as he did with hossa or Brichards.

DL given the chance will likely make his biggest push for ZP out of all the UFA's to come along during his time as GM. Allot can happen between now and then but if DL is GM *and* ZP is available *and* we haven't picked up a speed/grind/sniper along the way then I think that ZP might be the player that DL has been waiting for his entire tenure.

That said I can't see us being able to wait until the offseason to address our O troubles and if indeed it is decided that we need to pick up a top notch wing then DL will likely have to do something before the end of the year.

Eh, time will tell.

He offered Gab/Kovy more per year money than Hossa...
