Eh, I thought he's been playing great. Surprising.

Not sure how many games the Phantoms play between now and the 27th but it gives him a chance to play and will probably be called back up for the 27th.

There's nothing that can be scheduled (including practices) on Christmas Day per the CBA.
Also, the status of Couturier and/or Schenn could change over the next few days.
Briere will probably return, too.

Shelley must hold some 'interesting' photos of Holmgren and/or Lavi. There's absolutely no justification for his continued existence with the Flyers. I defend Holmgren a lot and whilst this is a small matter really, it's all a bit confusing. He offers the team absolutely nothing.
Let's face it, his best contribution all season was dragging Chara down to his level.

You have thirty days on the active roster or ten games before a player has to clear waivers again before reassigning him to the minors. They give themselves a little more playing room later in the season.

Damn, wish he stayed. Can't complain about having a surplus of forwards though, with Schenn/Couturier coming back soon. I love his nastiness. Threw some big hits and whacked away in front of the rangers net a couple times, before fighting Boyle.

I do not understand why we do not scratch Shelley in favor for Testwuide. Testwuide would probably look good on 4th line.

Bummer. I liked the way he was playing a lot. I wonder if this means someone is coming back from injury after the break?

Nope. Sestito-Z-Rinaldo was the 4th line, and they looked great.
Shelley played last night I assume because Briere sat out.
But yes, I echo the sentiments of the others around here. Shelley basically kills our ability to play an effective 4th line.

Not a bad looking 4th line for the future too.

My money is that he is gone once his contract is over. I do really like the future of this team though. The organization has really done wonders with all the young kids we have now. When was the last time we had seven rookies in a line up? Plus with these next two drafts coming up there is a buzz again about this team. Just think where we were a day before the draft and where we are now. I know I am excited!!

Agreed. But I really like what Sestito brings to the table.

On CSN earlier, they said Holmstrom was also sent down.
