I'm not as afraid of trades as many here seem to be. I was happy with the Kaberle-for-Spacek deal. Kabs was a talented player who was underperforming, who left a team with zero chemistry and improved on his new team. Does that description sound eerily similar to Cammy?

Our team has a lot in common with Columbus -- we both have plenty of good pieces that, for whatever reason, aren't fitting together as well as expected. But the individual pieces carry value, and there's potential for a big win-win scenario. Unlike Columbus, we're one or two pieces away from being a strong playoff team -- problem is, one of those pieces is chemistry, which is huge. The other big piece is scoring, which is why Carter or Umberger would be perfect, with Brassard or draft pick to seal the deal. In return, Cammy and either AK/Desharnais/Weber/Diaz.

That said, this is all make-believe crap for now...

As long as its Nash, give them almost anything they want
Pleks, Price, and Subban are off the table; everyone else is fair game

I don't think either team will move a 1st round pick.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't trades forbidden on christmass day? So if anything is to be announced it has to be on monday.

Especially not when given the non-playoff nature of the teams involved.

Also, Columbus is close enough to cap to say that, if we send salary their way, there will be salary coming our way as well.

Trade freeze doesn't end until Dec 28th I believe so that's the earliest it could be announced..

"Mr Gauthier, What was the logic behind trading the first round pick?"

"Well, Mr.Media Reporter, I told you the Trade with CBJ would help us get up in the standings! Ha ha ha! Imagine when Mister Markov comes back! "

"Oh wait.. We finished 25th in the NHL...? ********* "

Trade Freeze ends the 27th by Burke's standards. That's Toronto's hell if I know what Montreal does...

If we can get that for Cammy + Campoli I'd be ecstatic. I really don't like those two being on my team.

Cammy-Carter-Nash would be funny to watch too. Nobody wanting to pass.

Why is everyone on the anti-cammy bandwagon. He's having an off-season, our entire team is having an off-season. He was once the #1 goal scorer in the post-season, he was the jedi, the elite sniper, now everyone is wanting him gone. If we get rid of him he's going to go to another team and pull a Pouliot/Higgins. Book it.
