the issue is if people say Happy Holidays people get offended. The stupidity certainly goes both ways.

Anyway merry christmas and happy holidays everyone!

Man, I'd hate to hear what the airing of grievances would have sounded like at Festivus in Montreal this year!

A happy, healthy and merry to everyone!

Merry Christmas to all. In good or bad times, always fun to have a place to chat and vent. And most people in here are great to talk to even the ones I love to disagree with...

Tonight I come only to express my best wishes. I embrace those I have harpooned, those I have ridiculed, and those I have praised on this forum. I extend my embrace even to Bruins and Leafs fans.

You don't have to believe, but the day is about believing in man-kind also in the City. Nothing wrong with that, you can still open a door or give up a bus seat, not religion, just men!

Actually, I despise whaling and I feel minimal compassion when whaling boats sink. There's little justification for killing those magnificent animals. Many years ago I did research on cetaceans, especially on dolphins, and I have great respect and affection for them. I spent a month visiting research centers in Florida and California for an article I wrote. One of my favorite photographs shows me soaking wet after a bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) named Pequod splashed me and ruined the shoes I was wearing as well as making my handwritten notes unreadable. He was getting even with me because I had had his trainer temporarily separate him from his mate, Lady.

Fascinating. Feel the same way about cetacean killing and captivity. What did you think of the movie "The Cove"?

Jeez didn't mean to derail the positive thread with a pun that was worse than I thought.

You guys are clearly drinking something with too much antifreeze. Merry xmas!
