I was there last year and will be there again in six days. As much as I'm very disappointed in my own team, I'm psyched to see us play the suddenly solid Panthers. Congratulations on your great season so far!
I also hope there are more Panthers fans there this time around. I know the Florida tradition is to bail on the New Years game to avoid all those loud, obnoxious, sunburned Montrealers, but it would be great to hear some noise coming back the other way. I mean, it's nice seeing a healthy Montreal presence at an away game, but having us totally take over makes the Bank Atlantic Center feel uncomfortably like Poland in WW2. Give me a friendly rivalry over a home invasion.
My folks are down there like every year, and will probably be there as always. Not that they are really fans, more like a testament of how their generation is always out for a good deal. They used to follow the Habs a long time ago and haven't for decades, but hey, it's 1/4 the price it is in Montreal so they go even if they aren't really fans and don't really care. I mean, hell, if I weren't a Habs fan, I'd have a lot more things to do in Miami than go see a hockey game, even as a Habs fan.
Just Curious, what do are the ticket prices in Florida for lets say 20 rows up
Probably about $50 - $70, depending where. According to the face value printed on my tickets, I actually got them for LESS! (I've bought tickets from this site a few times before - the seats are 100% legit)
