Lines at practice

Eller centering patches and cole at practice .. Dd centering cammi and Leblanc ? And Plekanec centering Andrei and Moen... Personally I think dd line is going to be a disaster

Cunney is going to have to be real careful with his matchups for that one, that's for sure.

not that I dislike Eller centering Patches & Cole, but I like DD there. Put DD anywhere else & its a smurf line, Patches & Cole's size negate the fact that DD is so small & allows him to excel. No line should have 2 players under 5'10" IMO.

After watching the last couple of games Cunneyworth doesn't have much choice in mixing all the lines

Cammy should be benched for a game, been terrible in the past weeks and playing like he doesn't care

Cammalleri is the new Gomez, any line he plays on does significantly worse than they would without him.

Cammy+DD= No doubt the single greatest shutdown unit in the history of sports
Seriously I won't cry about that since I've wanted to see what Eller could do in DD's spot for a while. Can't believe it took so long for Eller to be tried with 2 offensive wingers.

I don't mind him switching lines at this point...not as if anything else has been working for this team.

Yeah I like Eller promotion but would rather the other two lines tweaked a bit... Guess that's all you can do though with white, gomez and gio out

Cammalleri will bounce back. I like the fact that Randy use AK a lot .

He was actually effective with Cole and DD. But everyone is effective with Cole.

I would place Cole with Cammy and Pleks, maybe he can get them both going again. They need a guy like him on their line.

dear god DD's line scares me.... i know leblanc is good defensively but seriously lacking experience. but cammy is a floating ****. DD tries, but defense just doesn't seem to be his thing if he's matched with first or second line.

Cammy who avoids most physical contact....DD who works his butt of but undersized and not that aware in the defensive zone...Leblanc quite reliable in his own zone but body is nowhere near NHL strength....

Yup, it should be a disaster...

I've been wanting to see Eller in an offensive role for some time now.

Me too, and I hope its for at least 5 games. I want to see it over a certain time, not just 1 game.

On the other hand,

Eller should stabilize the defensive aspect of the first trio, which kept getting scored on lately.

I'd prefer Cammy with Eller. If given an offensive role, I believe Eller would be our most creative center and that's what Cammalleri needs.

Just like Gionta would probably be pretty bad defensively as a center, I think DD would make a pretty decent defensive winger since there are much much less responsabilities on the wing. And DD isn't the same kind of bad as Cammalleri in the Dzone. For a winger a lot of the job is, like you said, about trying. Sure he won't be Moen in his own zone but he probably is much less of a soft minutes dependant guy from the wing.

What he needs is to stop floating and help himself a bit, anyway they strikes me as the two guys on the team who would have the less chemistry together.

Which I am skeptical about considering he's done a poor job at that since he took over.

I think they would actually fit together.

Cammalleri looks like **** because of confidence issues, his bread and butter is scoring goals, nothing more. Eller likes to carry the puck and one of the main things he needs to learn is when to let it go in the offensive zone.

With Cammalleri's presence, I feel that Eller will have more confidence and make better decisions with the puck in the offensive zone.

What the habs need is to be more dynamic in the counter attack
