Cunneyworth to try Umbrella PP

http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=608142

Been saying we should give this a try for a while now. Thoughts on the new look?

I was thinking they could try this, stick Cammalleri in between the defenceman and the guy standing in front of the net.

The first of many changes. Umbrella could pan out great for Habs they have the players to do it.

Might as well, it's not like the current form is doing anything. Wait? Is there a current form?

I remember them setting up in this formation last year for a couple games and they had some success with it but then changed back for some reason.

I wonder what the players would be. I'd like Kaberle feeding right-handed Subban on the left, left-handed Pacioretty on the right, Cole in front and Plekanec down low.

Plekanec
Cole
Subban-Pacioretty
Kaberle

Finally.

Gauthier needs to step away and let Randy coach this team. The Habs need to get away from everything that they were doing under Martin. Starting with the PP is a great idea.

it worked great with wiz and subban last year. We've seen modified formations of it already this year. My guess is that you will have kaberle at the point with subban as the left trigger and cammalleri as the right trigger. With the lack of production coming from subban and weber from the left side, its not really surprising that they want to open up a shot from the right side. So far, they have only used the right side to distribute the puck in most cases. This is cammy's chance to get some goals, and try to salvage another poor regular season.

The article says that eller should find himself back in the line up between cole and patches...this seems to good to be true lol, you guys think this is for real? Or maybe just an error

Edit: nevermind, I just saw it in the lines at practice thread sorry

I'd rather have Cammalleri float around in the middle of the ice where he doesn't have to win any board battles. Just sit in the slot and try to get open, if you move the other two guys around enough to set up a backdoor play, it will open up Cammalleri.

Cole
Cammalleri
Subban Kaberle Plekanec

Hey, it can only get better right? (I hope). At this point, as long as we don't get scored on during our PP I think it'll be an improvement.

Umbrella? Huh. You think it's RC's call for help. After all the kaka storm the past few days he'll need an umbrella to keep the kaka off his head.
