For some reason it keeps spitting out decent goalies, though. That league as a whole is pretty bad.

Tanner Pearson with 2 first assist. maybe something in the draft?

I hate that Boston drafted D.Hamilton my favourite player

Pearson, while obviously not better than Yakupov, has more points than him in the OHL.

He's also 6 ft 192 lbs, making a name for himself. I see him as a mid 1st round pick.

Hubderdeau may end up as the best player from the 2011 draft.

That's a big call when there's already someone from that draft scoring at a PPG in the NHL

No broadcast for USA here in Sweden nor for the Rangers, witch *****. Can't decide what I should stream, Rangers or USA? Probably both.

JT just popped one home (8-2).

Loved his demeanor after the goal. Now emotion since it was the 8th goal. Just struts back to center ice. Love this kid.

Dman Stephen John's last goal went unassisted, but JT Miller made the forward cough up the puck with a solid hit, where the puck trickled to the point where it was slapped in the net

It's a good thing some of you didn't go to the US/DEN GDT. Was at the GDT today and Ducks fan taking shots at Kreider.
I was satisfied with Miller's play, hopefully he can keep up the scoring pace.

Yup, just the goal for Miller officially. No assist. 1G, +2.

The QMJHL has always been a very high scoring league with little defense. This is actually good for a young goalie's development. They face tons of shots and high quality scoring chances on a nightly basis.

Goalie stats in the Q can be thrown at the window. Scouts hardly even look at them. You have to watch the goalies play. A 3.00+ GAA and ~.900 Save% is not uncommon for a "top prospect."

It's a far cry from Palmieri's sarcastic smiles and snotty laughs when he would get robbed when the US was winning games by like 7 goals.

And did anyone watch the game? 1+1 one is nice, but in an 11-3 game it's certainly difficult to tell.

I saw some of the game. I thought Miller was solid, but unspectacular. It's just one game, so I wouldn't put too much stock into it. The difference in competitiveness was on display. Khokhlachev was nice for the Russians, great offensive instincts, but they're going to take time getting up to speed.

Just finished watching the US game. Miller had a good game, but he has a lot more to give. By no means even close to his best outing. Had 2-3 huge hits, got a few quality chances and made some smart passes. Also made a few turnovers that I don't think Blais was too happy about.

And damn the WJCs make me sound like a crazy hockey dad but his icetime was definitely not what I thought it would be.

LOL NHL Network just ****ed up so bad just now. They ran a promo/commercial with Kesler saying "USA Canada hockey tonight baby, 3 letters, USA" and it shows USA vs Canada, tonight, 8 EST... Then they re-ran the same commercial with Parise. I believe they mean to run that commercial on Saturday
