I'll be honest. I am half paying attention. You can really tell the kid has a good shot and isn't afraid to use it. From what I've seen he doesn't look out of place.
Poile will do nothing. 6 and 20 will leave. 35 will be the only grossly overpaid player. Team will need 5-7 years to (somewhat) rebuild from the draft.
well damn... nothing new. I assume were being outplayed like 80% of our games this year.. I just hope rinne isn't playing bad like lately..
We were playing them tight until the Datsyuk goal. Outshooting them, out hitting them, out chancing them ... then a non decision by Rooney (he didn't signal goal, didn't waive it off, just raised both hands) called a goal after review and a Cleary goal 13 seconds later. Better game than the score indicates right now.

thats good to hear... at least we're competing.. not to mention weber, klein out
Ellis looks fairly decent, a bright spot of sorts. Kid has a solid shot.
He's got a decent shot but is getting protected minutes right now. The fewest ES mins ... no PK time .... not a bad debut so far, but, not enough to base any long term analysis on.
Defensive lapses by our forwards killed us. Leggy lollygagging back in on their first, nobody picking up Cleary on their 3rd, the entire team having a brain fart on their 4th. Their 3rd .... never signaled a goal on the ice, but Toronto saying the ruling on the ice stands .. .Rooney raised his hands on surrender.
Detroit fans in front of me represented their city accurately. Thats all im saying on the matter.
Suter looked disinterested at best. Just looked like he didnt care.
Ellis was better than expected.
Weird review. A non goal stands as a goal? bizarre. I thought there was no conclusive evidence and whatever was called on the ice should have stood, goal or not.

the ref from the blueline called it a goal... which was close to where the coaches are. don't know how he saw it so well. thus, with no conclusive evidence.. the call stands . bs I know..
2. Redwings fans suck. They are arrogant, over confident, and flat out rude. But the only thing worse than a detroit fan is a predwing. Believe me I saw a few tonight. How people who cheer for this time night in and night out don detroit gear when we play them is disgusting.
3. Shea Weber is the 2nd most important player on this team, outside of Pekka his point shot is so feared that without him, the power play sucks as no one is able to draw defenders to the point. We need Shea back in a bad way. Sounds like he will be out for a while though... expect Poile to make a move ASAP.

the LINESMAN called it. even more bovine excrement.
