Calle is a Swedish nickname for Carl (just like Henke for Henrik). So when I say Calle, I mean Carl Hagelin. I guess that's kinda confusing with Cally (Callahan).
EDIT: Remember Calle Johansson? Or as a current example, Calle Järnkrok. Both of them are really named Carl.
Honestly Richie couldve had points in like 5 of those 9 games. He made a fantastic pass tonight. I'd like to see him pick it up but as far as playing goes, I think he's out of his slump. And besides, when you have the two other guys on his line having multi-point nights, its not like the guy is a liability.
Also man, I tell you, MDZ was so good tonight. I can't even believe how good he is. Honestly, I think it'd be a shame if he didn't make the all-star game.
Met Hagelin after the game Friday night and got his autograph. I asked him, "You excited to play in this Winter Classic or what?" He replied, "I hope so"...I laughed and said "Stop being modest, you're on this team to stay"...to which he laughed and again said, "I hope so haha"
2 more goals tonight for the kid. What an asset his speed, defensive awareness and flat out hard work has been to this team.
Oh, and if anyone told me in September that this team would be 1st in the East on December 26th without Staal all year, I'd have called you crazy.
i was just lookin at all that. his stats are creamy. im lovin it and his vezina is waiting for him if we make a decent run in the playoffs.
Creamy?

Good teams win when they don't play all that great, and this wasn't a great effort (except for MDZ, Hagelin, Hank, Boyle and one or two others). Also, Islanders had Parenteau, Moulson,
Taveras on the ice half the game - they'll lose their next game 6-1.
Am loving this season so far, but (for Puckface) see Messier, Mark, Graves, Adam,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,etc. Let's not get crazy, yet.
He says he's 22. I'm 22. We were 5 in 94. I remember nothing. The first season I have really clear memories of is 96-97.
Congrats on the 2 wins in 5 nights vs the Isles everyone. Isles as usual are an embarrassment to the league while the Rangers have put themselves together a very good team one of the best in the East.
Just came home from the game, what a time. Even in my limited view seats in 414...never sitting in the 400s again unless I'm row A or B #spoiled
Great atmosphere, great time.
The new lower concourse area is amazing, and the West Balcony a thing of beauty.
First in the conference, second in the league...wow
The limited view only pertains to the top rows of the 400's behind the net (413, 414, 415, 416, etc). Mostly everywhere else in the 400s is fine I believe.
The Rangers have played a handful of bad games in the last 2 months. @Montreal,@Florida,Toronto,TB and @St.Louis. They don't rely on the shootout for wins anymore. They win them in regulation. We play today. We win today.
The Islanders were terrible tonight. They weren't very good last Thursday. They would come into the Garden and always give the Rangers fits. Chip on their shoulders. Little brother gets no respect. They managed 2 PPGs in two games. What's going on with that franchise? The Rangers games were their World Series but they barely showed up in the last 5 days.
In the midst of a 5 game win streak one guy we need to find a way to get going is Richards. He is on a significant cold streak.
Del Zotto and Callahan acted as playmakers tonight. Richards wasn't a big part of either goal for that line.
In the past Richards has played with some highly skilled offensive players on his wings. The idea was to have Richards play with Gaborik, but the Anisimov-Stepan-Gaborik line has been on fire all season and there is no reason for Torts to break up that line.
That has left Richards to play with Callahan and a revolving door of LWers...Dubinsky, Fedotenko, Hagelin, etc. None of which you can consider to be "highly skilled offensive players," Callahan included.
I think when Wolski is healthy the very first thing Torts is going to do is put him on Richie's left wing.
Richards line scored 2 goals, and you guys are saying he's in a slump, wasn't involved in the plays? If MDZ goes down low, someone has got to cover his butt. MDZ went in deep on both scores. It's the center's responsiblity to cover defensively.
Richards had a great game tonight. His line scored 2 goals, and had many other quality chances.

He is in an offensive slump in regard to scoring and being on the end of successful plays. I never meant to insinuate that he was doing his job as center poorly.
I don't even mean to criticize Richards. I think his points will, more or less, be correlated to his usage and the success of our power play. He wasnt even with the top unit today.
