i heard (and this is all hearsay) schenn plus a high pick and possibly bob for weber, but i hear trade rumors all day long so i dismiss them as quickly as they enter my ear canal. people get crazy when we could make a trade and come up with all sorts of stuff!
I doubt Nashville would've any interest in Bob, let alone a concussed Brayden Schenn.
I don't think either Schenn or Couturier skated yesterday (Dec. 21) while the team was away. Not much has changed, they weren't expected to play tomorrow.
Dec. 22 Philly Inq. Broad St. Bull:

No surprise: Couturier and Schenn will not play in NY on Fri., Homer says.

LOL.
I love this rumors. whos going to back up Bryzgalov? leighton? he makes more money and needs to clear re-entry. Dont think the Flyers deal Bobrovsky w/o a goalie coming back IMO

MFL cap hit is actually lower than BOB's. No bonus cushion, so BOB's total contract counts. 1.75 vs 1.55. The only way BOB is trading to Nashville is if Lindback is heading back our way Not happening most likely.
that rumor is automatically bull **** considering nashville would have absolutely no interest in bob, with Rinne and Lindback on their team. That is just absurd.

forgot about the bonus cusion.
If the Flyers do trade Bobrovsky it will wont be Nashville.
still doesnt change the fact if they do deal him they need a goalie back. cant imagine they would even think about putting Leighton on re-entry.

On the Brayden Schenn front, Holmgren announced that he skated and did his off ice conditioning again today and has made good strides. His status is now day-to-day.
As is Sean Couturier, who also skated today and did his off ice conditioning.

Good to hear he may be back playing soon i know hes had bad luck with the injury bug but i want to see the schenn ive been hearing about one of the best prospects not playing in the NHL not the snake bitten one who cant stay healthy..
Man, with a full set of healthy forwards, who sits? Probably Harry Z or Rinaldo, but I'd hate to see either of them out of the lineup. They're perfect for the 4th line. I don't even know who would slide to the 4th line with one of them out... maybe Read, or Talbot if they have Schenn center the 3rd line. I wouldn't be surprised to see them shut JVR down for a couple of weeks now that everyone's available and let him try to lose the nagging injuries. Feel bad for whoever is the odd one out and misses playing in the classic.

I think Harry Z will sit. If he is unable to become a top 9 forward or learn to become a very good Pker I don't know where he will play for this team. Rinaldo and Talbot seem like staples for our 4th Line, and Sesito or another PKer will probably join them.
For (Dec. 27) tomorrow's game, Schenn could be line mates with Rinaldo and Harry Z.
If Briere returns also, then he and Schenn will replace Sestito and Shelley from the last game.
Couturier doesn't look like he'll be available for tomorrow.

December 27 update:
Quote:
Schenn, 20, has not played since sustaining a concussion on Dec. 3 in Phoenix. Schenn originally returned to practice on Dec. 14 in Montreal, but did not skate again with the team until yesterday. He said he last felt concussion symptoms "5 or 6 days ago."
"Right now, I'm feeling good," Schenn said. "I skated three times when the team was on the road. I try not to worry about it, but I'm just trying to get my confidence back. It feels good now, I hope it feels this good [today]. You never know what you're going to get when you wake up."
Schenn, listed as day-to-day, was cleared for contact in yesterday's practice.

We did not even make it through training camp without losing a couple of guys....
