I don't think anything. There are plenty of teams in this league where he would be a good 4th liner. But we actually have decent offensive depth for the first time in a while and there for is replaceable.

What year did Wolski put up 65 points?

Despite my favoritism for the guy, I still think he will delightfully surprise every one upon his return.

I kinda wish he would get a legit shot upon his return. But knowing Torts, he will most likely return to playing on the 4th line with either Prust or Rupp sitting.

I still say send him down for 2 weeks conditioning(postpone putting WW in lineup).

Two reasons.

1. The team is winning consistently with the current lineup. If they feel the need to take anyone out of the lineup, it should be Rupp (for Wolski). I don't think he'll be put into the lineup right away even when he's healthy and ready to go. Wouldn't advocate a Rupp/Wolski swap, either, personally.

2. Mithcell has become a solid player that Tortorella trusts in late game defensive siutations. That Dubinsky-Boyle-Mitchell line has been excellent in taking several minutes off the clock at a time with their puck control skills and intelligent defensive hockey.

I'm not ready to break up that chemistry given the team's current position.

Anybody expect Wolski back thursday or friday? Maybe torts throws him in giving someone a rest with a back to back?? Could he use that as an excuse?

Maybe one of our guys is banged up and could use a few days of rest. Someone like Prust or Fedotenko. You can give a player a small break and see how Wolski does.

It's an interesting one. the team is winning and everyone is contributing, but WWs skill set, if he brings it, makes us a much better team.

Mitchell is the only one I can see being dropped for him. It's a shame because he's done his job well thus far.

But would WW fit well on mitchells line? Wouldnt it not make sense to throw him on a bottom line with grinding type guys. Maybe torts will make the 2nd line WW-Richards-Callahan. They did work well together early on. I wouldnt mind seeing dubi and hagelin together on the third line, I just want them to get more minutes.

Sorry, wasn't clear. They'll drop Mitchell and shuffle the lines so that WW plays top 6. Unless they try something weird like WW-Dubi-Feds

Id like to see Dubi and Hagelin on the same line but that would mean Dubi would have to play center leaving Boyle who knows where..

he'd replace Mitchell imho...and yeah, i think hes a much MUCH better player than Mitchell. frankly, when on, he's a superb 2nd line caliber player. having him on a 3rd line is a luxury.

Mitchell is the only guy that makes sense to drop to give Wolski a shot, but he's also coming off one of his best games of the year...

Well torts said WW is healthy to play right now but there will be no lineup changed. I guess when it becomes broke, he will fix it.

Honestly, Mitchell should keep playing over Wolski at this point.

You ride this run with the lines/chemistry we have, then when we slump, change it up for the next run..

Torts to WW:
