It was stupid because there's already a media **** storm surrounding the club. The vultures have been circling for weeks and they're looking to blow up any thing into breaking news proportions. That's not attention the team wants right now, and I'd be surprised if they didn't know it. Not untrue, but still a stupid thing to say.

Oh well, then. Guess the guy (Think it was M. Bergeron) was full of it. But being bad at it probably showed he AT LEAST wasn't as motivated to play on his off-side. You'd think a vet of his stature (Spacho is no broom handle...) could have a stable game on both sides if he really wanted to.

No. Some defensemen have played a certain side their entire pro careers. If you put markov at RD he wouldn't be nearly as effective.

Part of that storm was built around the fact the habs were playing the mutism card toward the fans and the media.

I know it was more of a upper management concern, but still, I think it's a great opportunity for Cammalleri to show some maturity and just play better to prevent other players to say the same imho.

There was a way to avoid this, and it was probably NOT to make this move, considering it had the potential (and rightfully so) to piss-off a player, or have a very lengthy discussion with DD about his new role, so he isn't pissed about it.

At this point, it sounds : hey, you're the only player on this team who gives it all, so we're gonna give you the laziest f***er we have on the lineup at this very point... who also happens to be a small player, not unlike DD.

Actually, it's refreshing to hear a player saying his mind on any topic in this team.

I mean, it's not like the Habs can really afford to suspend him.

Did you forget the sarcasm smiley? I can't tell when French posters are being sarcastic. Lost in translation I suppose.

Lars Eller starting to look less like a boy and more like a man. Future Captain! He has the edge over Patches because he is noticeable away from the puck. Plus he's like big Saku.

Hopefully the team shows up tonight. It would also be nice for Cammalleri to not play soft and lazy, but I'm not holding my breath.

Just win.

This forum if the Habs lose again tonight =

Spacek didn't want to play his offside when he signed. There were quotes all over the board about it.

LOL. DD is not a longterm solution here. Eller should get a shot with Max and Cole. And who really cares if they're pissed about it? The team isn't SCORING!
