Great game. Everyone played well for the most part. As much as I like Blunden, I can't wait for Gionta to come back and go with a real 4th line (especially since we are playing he 4th line a lot, so Moen will still get his minutes).

Can't help but think Kostitsyn with Pleks and Gionta would be a nice line to go with our other 6 offensive players.

Of course the story will be how Cunneyworth's scratches and lineup changes keyed this win, but I think we need to give it another game. This one was open bar. Nothing wrong with that, the Habs are owed a few games like this really, but that doesn't necessarily mean the club's turned the corner yet.

Still, a bunch of monkeys got shoved off backs, so there's that.
I agree with your theory on blowouts for the most part but Cunneyworth managed a good game IMO today. Instead of trying to over-balance ice time for "energy", he actually rewarded the most effective and hardest working players.

Of course it's easier to manage properly when the opposing goalies make your life easier, but I mostly agreed with his personnel use today.

We really are due for a winning streak. It's been so long I've forgotten that it IS possible.

Meanwhile, we're two games below 500%... sigh...

Yes, I must say I like what I see from RC, especially how he uses Eller and Plek.

RC is basically challenging Eller: bench him and then give him the spotlight and see how he handles it. And great response from Eller.

Plek was overused with JM. Now, he's playing less SH and can spend more energy on offense. Nice treat from RC giving Plek the 5-on-3.

Gonna have to look at the faceoff and shift charts to confirm that, but he kept Blunden under 8 minutes, despite the score which might have justified giving them more icetime. This is definitely a major improvement.

We'll have to see. He needs to take Emelin off the right side, though. Just go Emelin-Gorges and Kaberle-Subban already!

Nice to get the monkey of the guys`backs...and Cunneyworth`s also.

Looks like the game off helped Subban and Eller both had strong games, though Subban looked bad right before his goal.

I liked how the taem didn`t sit back all 3rd and handle the puck like a grenade. Did a great job with the lead.

Congratulations RC

You deserve at least a win after the garbage you've had to take.

Keep Campoli out of the line up, please... not sure if that dude is actually helpful.

Good second and third period after a not that good first in wich we got lucky. Anderson against the habs outanking the sens.
Price with a very strong performance.
First 6 goals game of the season
Also, I wonder if Campoli can get us a third.
I liked Cunneyworth calling Lars and PK the future of the team in his interview. Maybe it's me but it doesn't seem to be the kind of thing we heard much from Martin.

MaxPac fought so bravely that Anderson was intimidated.

Ottawa did outchance Montreal (slightly) on aggregate. The difference was Montreal scoring 3 goals on 5 shots early.
