Emelin was so close to nailing (insert player).

Who's the Habs fan that gets $500 when Cole hits 15 goals?

you're right, habs need to get less tough and gritty as a team and somehow figure out a way to make sure other goalies have crappy games. maybe send beer before the game?

That'd probably be more effective than having a fight, yes.

MaxPac is an important winger who had a concussion and a broken neck a year ago. He needs to not be fighting.

What's amazing is how fast our season turned to crap. Two weeks ago we were 13-11-7 and moving up. Then in the space of one week we lose a game, fire Martin, start a language shiitstorm and lose the next four games. Boom. Seven days of hell and the whole season changes direction.

You'd think it's possible to balance that out with seven days of victory. Wouldn't that be cool...?

I have seen us play better games with worse results but it was good to get some puck luck for a change.

If the rest of the league keeps getting concussions we just might make the playoffs.

Turning point tonight, IMO: @MaxPacioretty67 dropping his gloves for 2nd time in NHL career. That was HUGE

It's huge because he never does it. If he did it every game it wouldn't be. People are sparked and interested by the out of ordinary. Saying consistent fighting is wrong, but there are times for it.

Emelin looking a lot more comfortable now on the right side, also looked pretty good on the PP. This kid just needs to play and gain experience.

Cole is the workhorse most of us expected. He is all work and no play. Shame on those saying he would flop.

The guy had a concussion and a broken neck less than a year ago and dropped the gloves.

Thankfully, the team caught the message.

no it showed that a guy who is prone to head injuries is ready to go to battle to defend himself and his teammates. you know, inject a bit of emotion and 'battle' into a team that has been completely bereft of it. clearly you've never played hockey, but keep being a smart-ass.

Well that's nice. The Habs were outshot 5-13 in the first, and the possession numbers were about as bad. For a team that got a spark, they sure didn't show it much.

MaxPac igniting the team is a nice story, but it's exactly that: a story. The Habs didn't really play better than they usually do, but Anderson let some goals in. 3 on 5 shots, actually.

I'm sure the team appreciated the gesture, but calling it a turning point stretches credulity.
