Another great night by Desjardins. The way he is playing the Avs better not let him go/trade him without giving him a chance with the club.
If Giggy really wants a shot at being a starter again, I could see the Avs trading him for something and bringing Desjardins up. There's no reason he can't at least be a back up in the NHL. He's not developing anymore, so back up is not going to hurt him.

Agree. It certainly looks like he is ready for the next step as backup. I'm not ready to get rid of Giggy just yet though as he is a very good influence on Varly and can help him grow to his potential. But I think if one gets hurt (hopefully not), I would feel very comfortable with Desjardins getting the call.
Due to Giggy having another year on his contract, I'm hoping for a Desjardins/Paterson duo for next year with LEM. That is very good depth in net.

Hopefully they'll all reach their potential, Patterson looks good, Pickard is still a pretty good goaltending prospect and Aittokallio could be a real darkhorse of ours going forward, I hope he'll follow the path of other good Finnish goalies and if that does happen JF will be happy to have a Finn on the team.
Brophey's four helpers shouldn't be overlooked either, even though he's not a prospect, still an impressive feat. We need guys like him and Desjardins, even if they aren't necessarily NHL material.
Svatty had pretty impressive ratios. 32 goals and 18 assist rookie season and 26 goals and 11 assist in his 3rd season. Nothing compared to Jessiman of course but still quite a ratio.
Who the hell is Adrian Foster? Put up 3 pts in 4 games but hasn't played since, and appears to still be on the active roster
