Could learn a thing or two from the Hawks' powerplay...

I can't think of any more useless and overpaid players on the roster than Stoll and Williams. Passes off the mark, blindly throwing the puck away, constant turnovers, losing puck battles along the boards... they are essentially providing absolutely nothing to the roster.

So that's what a powerplay looks like.

well if we are on the pp for 40 minutes of the rest of the game, at least we might not concede

Knew Clifford would find his way onto the PK. And soon the PP. Sutter loves that type of player and I'm glad to see Kyle get the love, now he has to play better.

The only thing the Hawks do better, is move the puck fast. they don't allow a D guy to get on them.

How do you think Stoll got to be so absolutely useless as a player? Last year he was serviceable. This year is contract year. Just...makes little sense to me.

What a frustrating game to watch.

I recall at some point some of us thought Kopitar was better than Toews. What was I thinking?

you most definately can, he gave up the break, then he took the penalty even though Scuderi was back and had the angle.

They're playing in fear, as if they are afraid of contact and it's very apparent to me that he rode off of the success of his linemates. Without his linemates producing, Stoll isn't going to create any scoring opportunities.

so our Penner-Stoll-Williams line is basically there so that none of them bring down any other line to their level. You can stick them together and keep them out of the way of the useful lines

Decent first period against one of the best home teams in the NHL.

Hawks had some good shifts early in the game, but the 5-on-5 play was pretty even after that.

Quick might be taking over as the face of the franchise. Lights out when he needs to be...except the playoffs of course.

Might want to watch that again,

Puck bounced over his stick, if you are gonna blame Doughty for bad ice, then I don't know what to say,

And you know why Scuderi got back and had the angle, is BECAUSE Doughty slowed down Kane enough....
