Defense has looked good, but I don't think you can read into it too far. We're playing a slumping and immensely injured Wild team that was mediocre at scoring goals even when they were tops in the West (sick neutral zone play + amazing goaltending). That said, the play on Heatley / Koivu has been tight, even from the young guys.

Since the 3rd at Dallas. Of course, forwards have scored ten of the last twelve over the past 5 2/3 games.

Borque has looked like the only positive tonight besides pekka's play. Both teams playing strong defensive positioning but turnovers on both sides are killing offensive momentum. Preds need a big defenseman to scratch hillen, need a forward besides erat who can carry puck into offensive zone.

Boys need to come out and play hard next period. Passes getting pick pocketed all over the place. Need more gritty determined play like Bourque displayed on his rush there

but if we had better defense, we'd improve our offense and possess the puck more

Ya know Ellis is very strong. Him and Staubitz collided this period and he actually dislodged the puck and wasnt thrown away.
