Geez. Lucky dog. He deserves the bonus given the job and grueling work he has done for us.

Now a bigger coup for Futa would be a highly skilled forward.

A 50/50 draw is when tickets are sold and half goes to donation or for a good cause, and half goes to winnings. It keeps growing until there's a winner.

I heard them announce his name as the winner, lol. Those 50/50 draws at the WJC are pretty decent!

It doesn't keep growing. There's a winner each game. That's just one games winnings.

One game in a recent WJC (I forget where) had a prize total of close to $150,000.

Saskatoon 2 years ago. I think the amount will continue to grow as the tourney rolls along.

Yep. It's crazy.

How much are they selling the tickets for anyways? 3 for $5, or more?

Gord Miller

"After winning the 50/50 draw in Edmonton, LA scout Mike Futa has 500 tickets tonight. He's hoping the prize is a goal scoring winger."

Nice.

They're 1 for $5, 3 for $10, 10 for $20 I believe. I know for sure it is 1 for $5 since I paid that last night at the Finland/Denmark game and won diddly squat (pot was $47,000 and change). Gotta hate when you don't have tons of actual cash in your pocket. I'd have bought more, but only had $5 in cash left by then.
