You know that when you come into this building, it’s only a matter of time before they put pressure on you and create chances. That’s a talented group over there. We were fortunate to weather the storm and get out of here with two points.’’
“We’ve been doing a real good effort on the PK in the past couple weeks. It’s all about the mentality that we’re going into the kill with. Guys are competing, guys are battling, and that’s what it takes to kill off penalties."

You kind of start to build some momentum and feel more confident and better out there. Things just kind of went well for us tonight. (on his goal…) Those two guys [Fraser and Clifford] did a good job of getting to the net. I just threw it there. They were able to keep it alive, banging and crashing away. I kind of looped around the net and it was laying there. It definitely wouldn’t have happened without Cliffy and Fraz in there, creating havoc and keeping the play alive. They worked really hard for that one."

A two-goal cushion is huge, so getting that goal right at the start of the third was obviously big in that aspect. Quickie did the rest. (on the fourth line’s effort…) (Darryl Sutter) said it after the second period. He said, `Every line is going, so let’s keep it that way.’ He rolled everybody, and everyone got into it. There weren’t many penalties in the third, so there was a good flow. Everyone was into the game, and we got results. (on his line’s effort on Stoll’s goal…) I’d have been really, really, really upset if that didn’t go in, because I missed a couple really good chances. But I was happy that Stolly finished it off for me. It made me feel good because, as I said, that was a really big goal, getting that cushion for us at the start of the third."

(on the effort of the fourth line…) The first period, there was a lot of special teams, so our fourth line did a really good job. As it went on, we were able to roll it. I thought, obviously, with Trent coming out of the stands, and Colin has been playing really well for us, and Cliffy, we talked to him before the game about trying to get him some more ice time. Hey, he drove the net on the first goal and did a good job. (on using the fourth line on the power play…) It was a four-minute power play, so you just can’t use two groups. It was good to reward guys, too. It’s not a right, that everybody gets on the (power-play units). It’s nice to put some hard-working guys out there. (on whether he has tweaked the penalty kill at all…) No. Actually, the Los Angeles Kings, for the last two years, it’s been the best part of their game, their penalty kill. I haven’t done anything, to be quite honest with you. (on beating the hot Blackhawks…) Things go on. They’re on a long homestand, after Christmas, and they’re probably not as sharp as they wanted to be. Quicker made those big saves early and, hey, it makes the difference in the game."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Lol, you asked me to correct you in the Jets thread, so my personal opinion is that you should use "navy" as the Jets font as the dark blue is out primary colour....also, this is the primary logo , not the one you have. Just a note

I'm gonna let the numerous other mistakes slide for now (until tommorrow ).

Also, this is the first time in a long time I have read the little disclaimer at the bottom. It is simply awesome Puck U is a pimp, and is too busy slapping hoes, swimming in Benjamins, dating supermodels, building orphanages from scratch and freebasing italian seasoning to follow the nuances of the opposing team. If you reply with corrections in this thread, it is an admission that you touch yourself while listening to Justin Beiber music and that you drown puppies, and you hereby give Puck U the right to have sex with any of your hot relatives
This is AWESOME. And apparently I admit to it .

Also counting votes from both forums, Dustin Brown Kings jersey plus new Jets cap or Andrew Ladd jets jersey plus new Kings hat? What say you?

If things shake out right, we could be third in the conference by the end of the night. If that's not motivation to win, I don't know what is.

GO KINGS!!

You gotta go with the Brownie jersey now that he's playing well

Hoping for another win tonight. Let's not squander the two hard earned points earned against the Hawks by playing with any less intensity against the Jets.

I would say the Brown jersey with the Kings hat! ...but if you must wear Jets gear, I say go with the Brown jersey and the Jets cap.

This isn't Terry Murray's Kings anymore. Sutter believes in motivating professionals.

I just want more than 3 goals again.

I just don't know if my heart can take another night of In-N-Out. The Kings might have to be on their own tonight.

Poor PuckU. Gonna develop a complex

I *really* like that picture with the Jets flag and the mix of old and new jerseys. Pretty awesome.

Looking forward to tonight's game. It marks the end of my vacation time, so it's a little bittersweet, but I haven't gotten a chance to catch a Jets game since their opener, so I'm definitely thrilled to see the Kings take em on tonight

Oh how I am sad I won't be at this game tonight. First time in 15 years the Kings are back in my province and I won't see it. And with my favorite player Richards now on the team to boot.

I'm a reborn Jets fan, but I'm still pulling for two regulation points for the Kings. We are 3-0-1 under Sutter. Let's make it happen. Go Kings Go!

Can't wait for this one. The Winnipeg crowds are awesome, they boo every player on the opposing team. Expect to hear Richards, Kopi and Doughty to get it every time they touch the puck.

So Flyers/Pens at 7, Canada/Denmark at 8 and Kings/Jets at 8:30. Nice night of hockey!

I expect Richards to have a great game tonight. His first time in Winnipeg which as close to his hometown as he can get. I think he does well.

The last time a Kings team played in Winnipeg was also the last regular season game in the history of the Winnipeg Jets 1.0 back on April 12th, 1996. The Jets won 5-3 and Keith Tkachuk scored his 50th goal of the season into an empty net. Before the MTS Centre became one of the loudest buildings in the NHL…we had the old Winnipeg Arena and it was rockin for the last ever regular season home game. The #1 star that night – Winnipeg Jets Fans.
Cheers, MC and HNY.
