For the most part they played well in January (10 wins) but they had probably two unsettling loses to Boston and New Jersey.

The Boston game was a facepalm I think the final score was 5-4...the only goal I remember was the Marchand goal when Boston should have been penalized for a 'delay of game' but the refs never called it, and instead of backchecking the Flyers (*ahem* Briere) decided to use that time to complain to the refs while Marchand scored

The New Jersey game however was a complete.suck.fest.

There wasn't really much to complain about in January (like I said we won 10 games) but I can see where you're coming from. For me, that Vancouver game marked the first time that I felt the Flyers probably weren't as good as I thought they were. It was also the first time I felt they weren't going to win the Stanley Cup.

Bold predictions:

Schenn Goal
Jagr Hat trick
Bob Shutout
Talbot scores in OT
Jeff Carter breaks foot
Giroux transforms into the messiah
We sign Jim Dowd to a 2 year contract before the game starts

I'm sure my logic checks out.

i'd like Jagr to score his first hat trick this year too..
but to be honed i'd be really happy if he score one and assist to Roo, that would made my week or even month.

I know we all don't get along, but hope this one is fun tonight! I did a few write-ups on Flyers players (unbiased) in my GDT and there is a great video about Bobby Clarke. Feel free to check it out.

Good luck tonight, guys! Hopefully no injuries but enough drama to add to one of the best rivalries in hockey.

Rinaldo also. Harry Z is a defensive liability right now.

Sooooo, do we have anyone willing to lay the body every single time on the forecheck? Hartnell, I guess...

Thankfully Bobo is playing, he has done pretty good job against the pens so far.

In the words of Peter Laviolette:

"I want you to go out and rip someone’s heart out of their [bleep]ing chest. And if you don’t, you’re probably not going to like your ice time"

So let's do this tonight.

Talbot is starting with Giroux and Jagr

Meszaros-Carle.

Bobrovsky vs. Fleury.
