And LOL about Hiller going to do something about it and then promptly turning away when he realizes what it really was.

How come there wasn't a main board thread?
Cause it will just add more fuel to the Ducks hate fire? Don't give the Red Wings fans anymore ideas about stuff to throw in the ice.

Throwing octopus or fish is one thing. But a dead duck is both inhumane and unsanitary.

No need for a thread to whine about those classy fans.

Maybe next time the Duck fans should throw a dead whale shark in San Jose's bench.

Bonino is terrible, barely a 3rd line center in this league. He is so apprehensive out there. He is a joke on the 2nd line. Can't wait for Koivu to come back... I would prefer to give Holland another shot.

I think Gordon doesn't provide very much and is just a wasted roster spot. Palmeiri or McMillian would be better options in my opinion. Health scratch for Palmeiri is wtf.

Really liked games out of just about everyone else.... really like that the 4th line used JFJ and brought some physicality.

Like someone said, Beach makes many small mistakes. One of the best games Lydman played all season.

You really haven't made a good argument as to why he should though. Fowler is a better puck mover than him, and he makes better plays from the point. Ryan fits better on his off-wing, down low where Selanne plays. He just makes more sense on the 2nd unit right now.

On the 1st unit he's just a bit redundant. We have better puck movers. We have better passers. We have better shooters. What does Ryan add to that unit, that we lack? The 2nd unit, however, needs him. He helps make it dangerous, and not such an afterthought.

Fowler isn't the one bumping Ryan off the 1st unit; Selanne is.

Sadly, the octopi are potentially as smart as some of the fans. It's tragic what they do with them.

was at the game in San Jose last night... got my Selanne jersey signed by, Getzy, Perry, Ryan, Fowler, and Selanne... JUST missed Koivu on his way out

but probably the thing I was most excited about was getting Teemu to sign my official game puck I caught at a Jets game (or rather the guy beside me caught, then handed to me when i was a kid 93/94 season)

he signed it # 13 too

thought the Duck's played pretty well, and Hiller was probably the best ive seen him all season.

Yeah that's a pretty terrible thing to do. Especially if he had to kill a duck to do it.

I'm sort of split. On one hand this guy doesn't deserve the attention. Because you know that's what he wants when pulling a stunt like that. On the other hand, it is notable to the general hockey fandom. Just because it's something different.

Seanconn: Nice with the autographs!

thanks man! my uncle has a connection with one of the operation managers at HP, so i was right at the door the ducks took to exit the building/ not behind the autograph fence ...

Selanne was hamming it up talking to some girls with ducks jerseys who were standing behind the fence, but i really lucked out, because Teemu was the only player who actually stopped to sign autographs for those people's. Talked to Getzlaf for a minute or two, told him i went to O'neill, one of the rival schools of his high school in Regina... me and my uncle were both really impressed with Getzlaf, especially that he offered to shake my hand, go to shake Teemu's hand too.

when my uncle mentioned how he saw Teemu score his 76th goal in Winnipeg with the Jets with Paddock- he said, just how unbelievable that season was, and then called Paddock a "*******" for trading him

seeing Selanne that close was just too much!!! childhood dream accomplished. still can't believe I was that close to the Ducks !

edit

Me too. Ive always thought he's shown good hockey sense and play making but he's always been with scrubs offensively i believe. Him and Ryan might be good together. With as little as Ryan tries most of the time, they are basically skating the same speed. Chemistry?
