As good as the kids on D have looked so far, I think one has to be sent back. Josi stays fo show.

Ellis vs. Blum....Unless Blum can really impress during Shea's absence, I'd be open to giving Ellis some time up here and send Blum down.

Weber-Suter
Josi-Klein
Boullion-Ellis
Hillen

our main problem with our D and these kids is they are all natural right side d-men.-weber, klein, blum, josi, and ellis. I have no issue sending hillen down/waiving him and making 51 our permascratch. Thing is, 2 of those guys have to play the left side. Blum did it last year with Klein.

Suter-Weber
Blum-Klein
Josi-Ellis

now in a perfect world, we get our crease clearer and we just send whichever of the 3 kids down that will not be playing and continue to let 51 be permascratch. If all is healthy, and you go by production, Ellis would go down.

We need a crease clearer and top 6 forward both. What it would take to get those I don't know but we do need them

That team looks a lot like the one that won the Cup in 2007. All we're missing is a Selanne-type player...

I like this roster. All we need is SOB and Prospal. No big deal, right?

I really doubt they will keep Ellis here after Weber comes back. Take away his PP minutes, which Weber will assume, and there is still of lot of improvement needed on his defensive game. Plus, they don't want to burn a year of his free agency status by giving him a lot of games. Long term though, I expect him to be very good.

Of the 3 call up youngsters, Josi is the best performing and probably has the best chance of sticking long term. He has size and plays well on both sides of the puck.

Blum is still making a lot of errors. He had a couple of key turnovers against the Wild...again. His offense has stood out a bit lately, but that is more a function of how poorly the team offense by our forwards has been.

I see the following when Klein and Weber are healthy again:

Weber - Suter
Josi - Klein
Bouillon - Hillen - Blum fighting for the last 2 spots.

After watching the way the D has played the last few games, I'm not 100% sure we need to add a big tough blue liner. We may or may not, I'll get to that in a minute. Josi is proving he can handle top minutes against top players. He is an excellent puck mover and is exactly what we need to pair with Klein. Two options here, he has played well with Suter but how well would he play with Klein or Weber when he returns? If he can play well with Weber, which I think he would as his game is similar to Suter's, pair Suter with Klein and you have two pairings that can handle pretty big minutes every night. The other option is to leave Suter/Weber and pair Josi with Klein, once again, giving Klein the puck mover he needs to be more successful and let him be the more stay at home guy.

At that point we have two solid pairings, hopefully, and as a third pairing we'd have Cube and Blum as they have been a pretty decent second pairing for us with the injury bug as of late. Bump them down, let them play 12-15 minutes a night and we should be good.

As far as adding size, I think it would be nice but if the top two pairings are good, which they should be, getting size for only about 12-15 minutes a night seems silly to me. I don't know that it's going to help us out tremendously. If we were to do it, does it come at the cost of sitting Bouillion or Blum? My guess is we could use an upgrade on the Cube but then again, a veteran paired with the Cube could be a nice steady third pairing just as well.

I just thought of the next Year(Season), and it looks somewhat promising, if kids will keep progressing, we keep our Line-up almost as it is, just make few additions, could be very strong group here in Nashville...

Radulov - Wilson - Erat
Smith - Fisher - Kostitsyn
Hornqvist - Legwand - Halischuk
Spaling - Smithson -Tootoo

Weber - Suter
Klein - Josi
Blum - Ellis

... many possibilities here. it does look good but I say that every year and the same results.. an UFA forward or two and we could be a top 10 offense easily with a top d line of weber and suter

I doubt we see Wilson switched back to center. Not sure if you meant to put him in the middle there...

I was working off what previous poster stated. but your right.. didn't catch that. I was switching his lines up and down.. although id like a line of smith tootoo wilson.. still not counting radulov to be here so those lines are obsolete for me.
