I dont think defensive mistakes are ignored. how often are we constantly pointing out mistakes made by Carle,Coburn, Mez ect ect. defensively mistakes were made, but it seems like
every single mistake one of our defenseman make that leads to a good scoring chance it ends up in the back of the net. It would be nice if our goalie would make a big save for once? you know the type of saves Bob was making in Dallas when the outcome was still on the line? He made some huge saves for us that night.
Point being that the Flyers are paying Bryzgalov a lot of money to stop the puck. Asking him to step up and make that big save when needed is not asking for much.

I'm not saying goalies don't have blame, in saying you are not going to see that at all in a box score or stat sheet.
Shootouts tell you more, but even those are flawed stats because not all shots end up on net, shooters lose pucks ect which have less to do with the goalie.

nobody is as good as Thomas. Rask has good numbers because are you ready for this? he makes saves when he has to. When Chara was out they had back, to back to back nights where they allowed 40 shots or more. I believe Boston won them all.
your defenseman arent always going to be in position every single time.
I am not blaming Bryzgalov for everything here but when you have the type of numbers he has blaming the defense will only hold so much water.
he is very fragile mentally right now. nevermind the fact that he is a mess positioning wise right now.
