Don't get me wrong...I like Nolan and Cliche....but that IS a scary thought.
I pray Kitsyn, Weal, Toffoli, Vey can infuse a little skill when they get here and establish themselves.
The 18 points thing with Cliche just left me gobsmacked to look at it to be honest.
I sure as hell hope they are, because given the current track this team is on we need two of those guys to become 20 goal scorers in the future. If not, then this project is doomed. This team is crying out for guys from Manchester to be given a shot in a rotation but given their numbers down there, I find it highly unlikely they could hit the NHL and do something.
The Lewis and Richardson in the top six thing makes me sick.
I wonder if those dolts on the ice for the PP realize that standing and passing without any movement isn't going to create an open lane for them to get a shot through. Here's Barry Smith with some pointers. Go study the Red Wings PP.
As soon as they got that 5-on-3, I knew for a fact that they would stay on the perimeter and pass around and hope for the best to happen. The fact that a bunch of NHL players can't figure out that being stationary on a power play leads to absolutely nothing is ****ing frustrating. They need to get movement out there. Passing around the perimeter makes it so easy on the penalty killers. I played club ****ing hockey and I know that. It's embarrassing.
Trevor Lewis is complete garbage. It blows my mind that he gets paid to play professional hockey as a forward and can't score goals. I literally can't remember the last goal he scored. Was it in 2009?
Meh. I wouldn't defend Lewis or Richardson, as their hands of stone certainly isn't helping their respective lines, but at the same time, our offensive woes have persisted long before their promotions to the top 6. They did enhance our speed and forechecking on those lines though.

Honestly I know a ton of people questioned Scott Parse being here and getting his shot.
But looking at Manchester and how they have developed the last few seasons...it isn't really surprising at all.
He was literally the only player on that lineup with skill.
BACK to BACK on the ROAD in fact 3rd game in 4th night w/ lots of travel in between ... and we get 3 pts out of 4 on the road / 5 pts out of 6 last 3 games ... I can't be too upset.
Will be fun playing Winnipeg more often next year
This is all well and good, but the Kings need to dominate this upcoming home stand.
Kings are only 10-9-1 at home. Not acceptable for a playoff team.
Kompon needs to go. Now. Gives the new coach some home practices to get a new PP system.

most painful on the 5 on 3 is how far back JJ and Doughty were. Why the **** are they past the top of the circles?
Also loved it when the camera changed to behind Mason and you saw JJ with the puck on his stick in the slot, skating towards goal, noone infront of him, Brown right infront of Mason who was deep in his net, and JJ passes it.....

You should probably stop bringing up Johnson. It's making me angry to think about how disgustingly awful he was tonight.
We are literally banking on Tyler Toffoli to be the future of our franchise at forward. There's *nothing* else even remotely as promising in the pipeline.
Dean's got to make a trade for help at wing... And keep trading until the roster has two or 3 guys that can finish.

And I'm guessing he'll go the way of Azevedo, Kozun and Vey once he hits Manchester.
Not that I've given up on them, it's just that their point totals don't exactly match expectations after lighting it up in the CHL.
