good win tonight. I thought Bobrovsky was good tonight that last goal aside. he bailed out his team on numerous occasions. Probably were pretty fortunate with the amount of unforced turnovers the Flyers had in the defensive zone. Other then that I thought the Flyers played a solid road game.

The second goal by BOB I wouldn't call a bad goal rather just one hell of a shot by Kennedy. That's just me though

lol @ Pens fans blaming the loss on "pucks bouncing" and "sticks not being on the ice" did they not watch the game? They're lucky it was only 3-1 after the second

Yeah, I'm torn on the second Bob goal. On the one hand, it was a perfectly placed shot that might have been screened by the blocking defenseman. On the other, it looked like it went in largely because Bob has a tendency to immediately drop on shots; possibly a combination of both. I found it re-assuring to see him stay up and protect the top corner when Malkin came down on him shortly after...I think last year we could have expected him to butterfly immediately. Seems he's been working on that.

Is this the sign everyone is referring to? I took this picture at the game, I was wondering what was going on over there with it.

One of the writers asked what it said but they said they didn't know. Giroux looked right at it though

Yeah, that's the one. On the TV feed Giroux turned around and spent some time trying to read it, it was pretty amusing.

On the replay it also looked like Jagr specifically directed his salute at those guys, so I don't know if they were all over him during warmups or what.

His post-game comment was "She didn't like it much. It was like '(expletive) off.'"

Actually pop over to the Pens boards and read the +/- thread which follows every game. Plenty of of props to a deep Flyers team (and plenty of criticism for a lackluster performance by the Pens). Not one comment blaming the loss of bouncing pucks I noticed. Whatever.

Anyway, Lavs and his game plan completely throttled the Pens and I think he completely out coached Disco. Nice job all the way around by the bad guys.

i'm fine with keeping cout's minutes low. you know he's going to tire late in the year; might as well try to diminish the impacts of the long season on him.

Hey guys... wanted to say good win to all of you.

Enemy territory - I know. I just had to come in any say seeing Voracek live... wow. I was actually amazed by his speed and grit he brought to the line up. He was flying out there and any time he had the puck I was nervous. He's going to be one hell of a player.

Has he looked like this all season?

Yeah Vora has looked pretty good but I feel like he should have burried a few more of his chances.

lool my comment was directed more towards my friends (most of them Pens fans) I watched the game with them and they pretty much all agreed that the Flyers were 'lucky' the Pens didn't connect on their chances.

But it was a great game...very exciting near the end, I would love to see both teams faceoff with a healthy line up

Voracek has been impressive and has worked well with Talbot. He has been a very nice addition.

I think early on he wasn't looking as good...was maybe trying to do too much flashy stuff trying to find his identity with the team...it seems like now he's using more of his size and speed to win battles, protect the puck and carry the mail. I get the sense Jagr has had a significant impact on the young Czech.

Wow Jason Williams played for the Penguins tonight. Talk about someone who was completely invisible.

Thank you, sir.

He's been progressing more and more as the season has moved on. He first out started out, really awkward and not really fitting in. Lately, he's really turned it up a notch or three and has collectively looked like a player to garner a top pick. He's been gritty, flying and making plays. He fits well with Talbot, which I didn't expect.

yeah i was in favor of the carter trade at the time, but considering that we'll also have minimum 3 cheap years from couturier plus nick cousins looking really good as at least a solid third line player, and you have to be thrilled about the deal.

Couturier was pretty bad. He looked like he was skating in sand. Understandable with his first game back.

We must have watched a completely different game. Couts played well and even contributed with 2 assists and excellent penalty kill

I rewound the 3rd angle after the goal was scored. On this angle looks like its off his back, however on the earlier angle (which i just rewatched) from behind kennedy it goes over MABs skates, so it didn't touch him. Perhaps bob didn't see it, but he didn't even have his glove up.

Errey mentioned it on the pens cast, so I just took his word for it as well.

I thought Couturier was skating good, and getting to pucks first. For the most part a good team effort all around. Schenn needs a point he deserves one!
