Who's the backup's backup?

Well, time to get cheery. I'm sure you all heard how defenceman Jamie Allison had to dress as the backup goalie due to two quick goalie injuries. So who gets the backup job on the Wings? I say Lidstrom...after all he saved that sure goal against Colorado in 1997.

...And if he does really well, he can start *hides*

Maybe Mowers, apparently doesn't do anything right on the ice. Maybe as a goalie he finally can help the team

It used to be McCarty, but I have no clue who the emergency goalie would be now. The best option would be anyone with goaltending experience at any level, even pond hockey. But barring that you'd go with a big guy like Lilja or Franzen.

I seem to remember hearing Mickey say years ago that Draper would be the guy. I have absolutely no idea if that's true or not.

I think it whould be better to just have no goalie and 6 players for the rest of the game

Personally I'd pick the fattest guy in the stands, sign him on the spot, wrap some fabric around him and stuff him in the net.

Ya know, I think I recall hearing this one time too. I think you may be correct.
