Ahhhh...to be stuck in Kings' fans hell. Not good enough to contend, but not bad enough to rebuild. This crap is all too familiar to us. Pick a damn position and stick to it. Either go for it all or don't. This is getting tedious and frustrating.
Bertuzzi? I would love to see him in a Kings uniform. He has had a bad start, but is ANYONE remembering what he was like before the incident? He was a top 5 forward in the show. His trade value is significantly lower now. I would bet a hundred he ends up in the East.
He reminds me a lot of Dany Heatley. Everyone wrote him off but look at what he has done now with a change of scenery.
yeah, that blogger whose name rhymes with "Schmek-fund" had some tidbit on an "LA Kings group working on a package" for what is "believed to be Bertuzzi". It had a tinge of logic and a sliver of possibility, seeing as we just got blown by in the Thornton deal.
I don't think it's got validity though, as the Kings are not able to give Vancouver what it needs right now to put them over the top to win a Cup. 'Nucks have a short window and won't give up a huge (literally and figuratively) asset. They need an upgrade in goal and a hard nosed vet on the wing - two things the Kings don't have available in a trade. Anson Carter is a 2nd line winger there fercryinoutloud!
I'd freak out with joy if the Kings could swing a deal for him though - as long as it didn't involve anyone named Frolov, Demitra, Conroy, Norstrom, Gleason, & Kopitar. I'm prbly forgetting a name or two... But you gotta give to get.
Maybe, just maybe, the Canucks would like to stick it hard to x-GM Brian Burke and would send Bert to a local rival. Here's hoping. Why are my posts so damn long?

Haha... that is so true. I blame Andy Murray. He always gets just enough out of his teams so that wholesale changes aren't made and so he isn't fired. He's the perfect status quo coach. No wonder DT loves him so much.
