There were no points for losses before the lockout. It's really impossible to compare.

The 1 OT loss would have resulted in no points in 93-94. The 1 SO win and 3 SO losses would have been ties, so we would have gotten 4 points out of those games instead of 5.

So overall, we'd only be 2 points worse than we are now.

That's not entirely true, the OTL point was added in 1999-2000, so it was existing before the lockout. It wasn't there for the former seasons mentioned though, but as was shown above the difference isn't that huge because we are winning most of our games in regulation. And that is a good sign.
