Huh? Orr was only good at fighting and Prust is one of the main penalty killers on our 7th ranked PK....

All I could think about was Reggie Jackson.

Great win tonight, knew the boys would bounce back strong. Was not even surprised when we were up 2-0 five minutes in.

Just got back from the ****ing airport and got to watch the game. It baffles me how 4 hours in total of flying turns into a 12 hour day.

I would first like to say I hope Kopecky has a broken nose and jaw. What a **** move. Rupp slugging him in the face was amazing.

POTG: Hank

Good: Nearly everyone.

Bad: Brandon Prust was bad tonight. Struggled everywhere. I don't expect him to duplicate last season, but he's been bad this entire year. Anisimov was invisible.

Redden: The officiating was a complete joke. Calls like Stepan on Campbell and then the non-call when Callahan was tripped have me questioning if these idiots have ever reffed a game before. And talk about a faceoff obsession. How many ****ing players were pulled on both sides? They flat out sucked.

And as I said a couple days ago, Florida will not make the playoffs.

Edmonton, Florida, Toronto...it's the same damn story every year. Edmonton is already in lottery spot, the rest will follow soon enough.

This was a make-up call for a missed high stick in front of the rangers net. I was pissed, but one way or another we were getting penalized.

True, but make-up calls shouldn't exist in the first place. It's ridiculous how they're expected now.

I forgot to add how impressive Dubinsky was, just a notch behind Hank for POTG. He looks like a superstar when he's on his game, not an exaggeration.

And speaking of superstars, Campbell was incredible tonight.

Campbell-Garrison
Kulikov-Gudbranson
Weaver-Petrovic/Ellerby/Robak

is going to be incredible in a few years.

Ahh... make up calls, the way for officials to not admit "i ****ed up" and instead use an even bigger **** up to cover up the original

1. Rupp - for beating the **** out of Kopecky
2. Torts - for putting the 4th line out there on the last shift
3. Richards

seems injured, but he has too much heart to sit out and heal even though with players coming back healthy, we have that luxury. we could really use a healthy Prust.

I missed the game but watched the YouTube video posted above (thank you). Totally agree on Rupp. It's about time a Ranger stepped up so strongly for his teammate. Usually there's a lot of yapping, pushing, shoving. (no offense Brandon). This was a real reply. Thank you Mike Rupp.

Went with Richards, Hagelin and Callahan. That line generated 3 goals in the 1st period and we cruised from there. They controlled the puck in the Panthers' zone for a full minute before Richards found Del Z to make it 3-0. That was an AMAZING shift.

Watched only the first period but MDZ and Dubi seemed to be all over the place.
Is it just me or has Del Zotto really been much more aggressive in our own end lately?

you were watching a different game to me.

I'm not convinced by any stretch that a D corps with a 1st pair of Campbell-Garrison is going to be anywhere near the incredible tag.

I really don't know what's so tough to get about this.

When fedoruk ran roughshod over the Rangers you needed Orr to put him to sleep.

When Lucic ran Miller, you need someone to beat Lucic's ass. Having Prust or Gaustead challenge him to a fight and lose makes your team look like ****.

Having Rupp pull Kopecky away from the linseman while he's crying for his mommy is what you want to see.

A real enforcer is someone that gets you revenge and intimidates when needed. And yes, that's more important than a decent penalty killer when you have 5 more of them.

DZ is now tied for the league lead in +/-, Gaborik is second in goals, and Lundqvist is top 3-5 in nearly every goalie category: 1.91 GAA, .937 sp, 3 shutouts

Does anyone have a video of the Rupp punch? Or can someone describe what happened? I was traveling.

Prust jump Kopecky..........then u can see Rupp making his way around grabs Kopecky from the refs and starts beating on him while he turtles ,lol

and that is why Rupp and Prust are on the same line

some people are saying kopecky deserved the beating but rupp went about it in the wrong way. but i don't see it that way. i think it's important that - in a case like this - punishment should be immediate. i think that's the best deterrent. you take liberties, you're in for trouble.
also, i think rupp gave him a good three-count to get his dukes up. no? he didn't start pummeling kopecky, he skated him out for a few seconds and then did it. i thought it was pretty straight-up.

I enjoyed that beat down..even if Del Zotto was in the wrong with the cross check. And he was.

Thanks for the two points. Next!
