What DC area radio station carries the Caps game again? I'm going to have to leave soon for some BS New Years Eve party and I want to listen in the car on the way.

Alzner has been going deep a lot lately... I know its good to see him have the confidence to do so, but the dynamic of him and Carlson just doesn't work so great like that.
The Hammer is feeling it tonight. My guess is someone has a pretty cool New Years Eve party planned for the Boys after the game and The Hammer is giddy with anticipation.
Oh wow that tripped me out... That alumni game I was kinda like, whats going on here? Are the Rangers Flyers playing today? Then I heard Leetch and it still didn't click lol...
passing is finally a bit crisper, and its good to see hamrik finally show up and not look like he doesnt belong on the ice, but this team is still pathetically incapable of clearing its zone in any way other than slapping or chipping it off the boards and hoping for the best. problem is, even when it clears the puck just trickles down and ices or is back on the opponents' stick so we have to do it all over again.
They wanted/needed to keep him cheap, and he had no leverage. A guy like Alzner is never going to earn big bucks early in his career.
Well at least he will be a RFA when his current deal is done. Just makes me nervous is all, with Green out it can be said he is the Caps best D-man. Hate to lose him in the future because of salary cap issues.
Also, finally saw the video where you got your avatar. Good stuff.

Until he significantly increases his offensive production he won't have the leverage to demand a huge contract. He was their best Dman last year and didn't have the leverage to demand anything more than his QO (which he was going to accept but the Caps preferred the two year deal).
Of course that's assuming the next CBA looks similar to the current one.

I can understand the Caps wanting him to improve his offensive production, but man he is stone cold solid in his own zone. Would think that is worth something long term, but thats why I gave up trying to understand NHL contracts, and who gets what.
