I hope so. Only people really in front of him would be Timonen and i guess Briere.

I think he will definitely be in time.

I think after we find out that prongers career is over, the C will be given to timonen until he retires, then G will get it.

Do they name him captain next year or wait til Briere/Timonen are gone? I'd give it to Timonen next season and give it to Giroux when Timonen's contract is up.

Uh all I can say is yes lol... there's no need to explain. He just has IT, which can not be described. He thrives at all parts of the game. Once he signs his next contract I think he will get it then or shorty after.

I don't think he's the next captain, but I think he'll be the captain eventually. I think Briere or Timonen is next. Then Giroux.

Kimmo has already said he plans on playing out his contract.

I think Giroux will be the eventual captain but I believe Kimmo gets it first, then maybe Briere. Of course, if Pronger turns out to be good to go next season then its a different story.

I should have specified "eventually" in the actual poll question.

I can't see it going to Giroux unless Briere and Timonen are both gone (in addition to Pronger not returning). Eventually I'de say at some point but I don't think they're going to put it on him until he's more of a veteran.

For the sake of his health, I certainly hope not.

Flyers captaincy seems to have a curse on it, so for his and our sake, I hope not...

If he stays here long enough, I could see it happen.

Seriously? It's been evident from the moment Richards was traded. This is G's team; he should and eventually will be the official captain, it's just a matter of time. And once that "C" is stitched onto his sweater, it won't come off until retirement.

Same thing could have been said for richards...I'm more worried about resigning G, it will be expensive as hell.
