I don't think they're friends. I think PK only has a few friends on this team, Price being one of them. Actually, that's really the only one he needs.

Is there anyone here with inside knowledge as to who hangs out with who. It might help put things into perspective here.

I would hope we would have learned our lessons from the Ribeiro, Latendresse, and S. Kostitsyn trades in addition to the Price narratives from two years ago.

This board sometimes has to be the funniest. I mean, Sergei K did one stupid thing. And seems to not have that many friends on the team and once was traded he was suddenly known as...CANCER. Yet, PK keeps proving he has more enemies in this team and yet...we don't hear that so far. Why is that? 'Cause you liked PK? Or 'Cause you're waiting for him to be traded so we'd find a logical explanation to another boneheaded Gauthier move?

I can only speculate, but at this point after being a healthy scratch, he's playing for a spot in the lineup. He can't let up. Could bother some in practice. Losing breeds animosity and hard feelings.

I'm assuming it's because, as many have said, he treats the practices like actual games sometimes and not everybody is really into that.

While I appreciate his effort, personally, I do understand someone potentially not liking that.

As long as they respect each other, then no problem.
I'm certain it's PK. He can be too much at times. Like the way he acted after Gorges blocked that shot a couple games ago. He was freaking mauling him at the bench while Gorges was clearly in pain.

I'm not too worried though, with maturity, these issues should disappear. Guys like Gionta, Gorges, Pleks, Price, Patches are the guys he shold be taking examples from. Channel that intensity and emotion into focus.

Yeah...no big deal....

The room is divided.
The team is a mess.
they are in cap hell.
They are out of the Playoffs.
Markov is in FLD... on a beach.
The Coach doesn't speak french.
The GM is Managing to say his life
Subban isn't even liked by his teamates.
Somebody should tell Cammy the season started 3 months ago.
This team has serious issues. And has had them for several years now.

I think it's better for the locker room that disagreements burst out in the open than that they simmer under the surface.

PK has a strong extraverted personnality yet he's not the top dog in the dressing room so he's more likely to get in conflicts.

Well you hope the team does. Still a whole lot of work to do with some fans though. One day people will realize that in a 20-man group, you like guys more than others. And unless your name is Sean Avery, you can actually work with the guys that are not so popular. But no, in Montreal, to explain a stupid trade, you need to appoint the overrated Cancer word or addition by substraction....but AFTER a trade. As of now, Subban is seen as a feisty kid. If he's traded, he'll be seen as a cancer. Not for me though. They better not trade him. Unless the return is SPECTACULAR.

Probably because the guy is highly competitive and still brings it in practice and it irks some of the lazier vets..

Period.
That would be stupid if it happens, but I wouldn't be surprised as long as BG/PG are managing this team.

If you can't see the difference between the way Sergei was acting and these "fights", then I doubt I can help you.

Sergei was a really bad example for the other players. If you allow players to be late, lackadaisical performance at practice, and general bad attitude towards coaches and players, then you are really not a good coach.

It's funny how people who have no access to the locker room or players' personal lives like to assume they know who is liked and who hangs with who.

Who knows if PK and Price are actual friends? They may get along but do they hang out? For all you know PK could be close with the most unsuspecting player on the team.

Just like Sergei was a cancer. Why and how was he a cancer? Don't quote 3rd hand information you heard from the media either.

These things happen when a team is losing and frustrated. Both Subban and Plekanec play with high-intensity and it's not really surprising that a forward and a d-man would end up battling after a one-on-one drill when things are a little testy.

All 2nd and 3rd hand information. Why do I not hear about any of this in Nashville? Hab fans have to be the biggest gossipers in all of sports.

I agree 100%, thank you for pointing that out. This is so typical montreal fans and plain stupidity.

Completely agree, though my faith in management/ownership was really shaken with the Martin firing and having Cunneyworth be his replacement. Of all the "addition by subtraction" trades the Ribeiro one hurt the team the most because of the negative return and the Habs eventually having to trade for Gomez because top-6 centres don't grow on trees. If anything the Habs should be taking a page out of the Toronto Blue Jays' book and look into acquiring good players with supposed attitude/effort/respect issues - they usually come at a discount.
