It was an oddly careful game.

But can't complain about that.

Rupp's salute got the Rangers fired up...

The Good: Rupper's 2 goals and Jagr salute, Richards and his clutch GWG, Henrik with a stellar game and stepped up big in the 3rd. Winning the Classic!!

The Bad: Being dominated thruout the 2nd, the two quick goals.

Redden: The officiating in the last 10 mins, and I never, ever ***** about the refs.

I want the Rangers to win every single game & am happy with every single win - but no doubt...I really, reaaaallly wanted them to win this game. Seeing the team pull it out despite the bunk calls...so satisfying!!!

I've never truly understood the logic behind the hook and dive call. I really have no idea how you can call and hook and dive when there's an empty net and the player has more to lose by diving than he does not diving.

1. Lundqvist (huge PS save! great all game)
2. Rupp (two goals and the game tying goal!)
3. Richards (game winner, pretty obvious)

Staal didn't look that good. IDK if it was such a good idea starting him in a game of this intensity. Looked a little lost out there.

Seriously people.

The Penalty shot: I've seen a few replays, and I still can't tell exactly what the heck happened. Even if there was nothing, it's really not that hard to see why it was called.

The Cally call: While you certainly don't have to agree with the call itself, Cally did hold on to the stick some. Borderline I'd say, but it's not phantom and it doesn't indicate a fix.

McDonagh: That was clearly a bad call. But instead of a fix, or whatever, I'd like to invoke that the ref missed the push, and saw McDonagh plow through the net on his own.

Anyway, great comeback win. Showing great character and hustle. This team is really good, and will likely be even better next year.

Dammit, now I feel like an idiot for having to miss the rest of the game.
Can someone please give me a recap of the game after the first period.
