Haha yeah everyone is over reacting. Its just a regular season game, disappointing that the Flyers lost but it was still a very entertaining month capped off by a great game!

It's our rooting interest and our board. We're permitted a little collective catharsis.

anyone who is blaming the forwards for our losses needs to stop posting

Briere is on pace to have over 20 goals and 30 assists at age 34 coming off his career best season

you people expect everyone to be a *****ing claude giroux, get real

Not an overreaction from anyone. Everyone deserves to be pissed off. It's incredibly frustrating that we can't keep ONE soft goal out per game. It's a nationally televised game that is also broadcasted more personally on HBO where the Flyers give up 3 unanswered goals.

And did we all forget about Brieres contract? Why can't he put the puck in the net when it matters this season? He missed an incredible chance with 19 seconds left, just last last year when he choked in the last Winter Classic.

Yeah, I'm not blaming the entire loss on Briere, but it is no secret I'm incredibly pissed he didn't come through.

Briere has been horrible this season not a shocker. I really don't know where this organization is headed. Part of it is Lavy's horrible defensive system once we get a lead. But it feels like it's more than that. The team just doesn't seem to have any of the jump that it had at the beginning of the season. Schenn is the only player who seems to give two ***** about playing anymore. Giroux seemed off today despite the goal and if he stops producing, we might as well count the season as a washout...It's very frustrating.

I know I overreact but this is a game we should have won easily. It's depressing.

I assume he tweaked something (groin?). He believed he could play, but the coaches, realizing the colder-than-usual temperatures and weird ice, decided to take a more cautious approach.
He took himself out, and stayed out the last couple times he did it.

I agree with this ! Its one game. Henrik gave up one less goal, Rangers win.....We had a TON of great chances to put this one away and the bottom line is we did not finish....It's just that simple.

3 best pluses:

Giroux scored.
Hartnell tanked it with an assist.
Schenn got his first goal and was great in the faceoffs.

We played well overall IMO. The difference between us, and Rangers is goaltending. Lundqvist kept them in early. Bryz it's time to turn it around.

Schenn got a goal

The problems with this team are quite clearly shoddy goaltending and defensemen that too often go brain dead

Those criticizing the forward are way off IMO. They had tons of scoring chances and put 2 in on the best goalie in the league without Jagr.

Two pathetic plays in the game that lost it for them - Mezsaros sagging back to the hash marks on Mike ****in' Rupp. Absolutely brutal screen to set when you have a guy in front of you that has no chance of beating you one on one.

Then the 2nd goal on Bob was obviously just pathetic.

Neither has absolutely anything to do with the forward corps or the team as a whole. Bad individual mistakes sinking the team. Its been a problem with the defensive corp and goalies for the past couple years

Last two games played at CBP are 1 point losses after a whole lot of buildup to both.

Carle was tearing it up for a while too.
