Thomas has never played a season of 60 games or more. For such an elite talent, they sure do shelter him in Boston. Its a great thing for the Bruins as a team to have a tandem like that, but that has to take individuals out of the awards race.

Of the last 20 years, Thomas has the lowest and second lowest GP numbers for Vez winners. Most winners play 10-15 games more. There is something wrong with that...

That always bothered me as well.

Hope Hank wins it this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if he didnt after getting robbed in the past, especially that year Maaaaaarty won it.

Didn't you hear? There's a flash-in-the-pan year some random goalie is having that far surpasses anything Hank has done this season. Therefor, he won't get recognition for jack outside of NY. But honestly, who cares? We're the ones that have him and know what he's capable of.

If he keeps up this play he should definitely have a good chance to win it.

I don't want Thomas ruining everything for the second year in a row, but with that said I think he can beat Thomas this year. It doesn't take a genius to figure out Boston's defense is tops in the league. Rask's stats are really inflated too.

It's like that in every other sport too though, what happens gets more attention then what's prevented from happening.

Everything revolves around who hits the most home runs, who throws the most touchdown passes, who shoots the most baskets. It's not going to change anytime soon either.

Thomas, as a North American, is going to have a definitive advantage in voting. See Thornton-Jagr in 05-06.

I just looked at stats, and I think Hank is the front runner. He has a lower GAA than Thomas, and is only .002 behind in SV%. Rask and Elliot are irrelevant until they play a full season

It's early... way early.

Let's not count any unhatched eggs yet.
