Even with the injury, does Gio make his presence felt to his team? Is he in the dressing room with the guys?

Of course, some injuries may not able you to do so but in this case I don't think it's an issue.

How about Josh Gorges?
Gio has been present in the media. I don't portray Gio as taking heat off or fronting the whole teams responsibility. Good point.

I'm starting to consider that Gio has been named Captain for the wrong reason. He IS a leader, no question there - on the ice and most probably in the locker room also.

But does that by itself spell Captain? Not sure. Some intangibles are missing.

The problem will be solved very soon.

Gionta gonna be dealt at deadline. Gorges gonna get the "C" and Cole, an "A" on their jerseys.

The fact the team has done so poorly with Gionta not on the ice, is more proof of what a great captain he is. He is the captain for the right reasons.
