worth noting that ppg for ov was from his spot and its best for him to be at the point to get that shot.

There is nothing to fear but fear itself.

I am glad Dale is not afraid to try new things, including using Orlov at LD.

Yep ovi didn't have to handle puck much that shift and the flames pressured backstrom. Pretty dumb.

Exactly. The play was not for him to skate the puck to the RD and shoot.

Aggressive PKers dont really have a choice it seems, they pressure the puck or have to reinvent the wheel. They had decent pressure, we just beat it with a give and go pass, and then MJ knowing where Ovi would be - lateral pass in the high slot = $

Besides the expected rustyness and tentativeness, I have not noticed anything troublsome in Green's giddy up.

I take back what I said about not seeing anything obviously wrong with Green's movements. He looked to pull up lame reaching for the puck when he came out of the penalty box. Hope I'm just seeing things though.

it was clear watching 52 chase on that play that he is favoring one leg significantly

If I were a betting man I would say he was injured again...

I put the games O/U at 3.5... I highly doubt he'll play next game.

nah...this is that injury. not a fresh one. he's trying to play with it. which is why they dressed 7.

if he was injured again, he would not be still out there

Of course not. It doesn't fit the preconception that Orlov can't play with any of Green, Carlson or Wideman because he's young/defensively irresponsible (as that ONE shift where he was pinned in the zone with Erskine indicated, lord knows none of our "experienced" defensemen have ever been pinned in the zone before). While Hamrlik, Erskine and Schultz can.

Green said that he was not going to be going full bore up and down the ice in a pregame interview. I dont want him chasing himself full bore after Bourque. He just needs to stay back a bit more early on. He is adjusting to his new groin.
