If RNH is out for an extended period and Henrique continues playing on a line with Kovy and Parise, Henrique will run away with it.

BTW, anyone ever watch a DeBoer post-game interview? He must be the most vanilla NHL coach I've ever seen. Guy doesn't show an ounce of emotion doing his job.

DeBore is right

Did NBC sports hire Joe M to do their color commentary? If so, good job by them imo. He is a quality color commentator.

Nabokov went behind the net to play the puck, and held it too long. 'Canes player flew behind the net to challenge for the puck, knocked it off Nabokov and the puck went out in front of the goal and was knocked into an empty net.

Yeah, I noticed that. They are using Ken Albert for play-by-play and Joe Micheletti commentary tonight on the Red Wings @ Stars game.

Micheletti was the analyst during the Olympics too.

Yea because at first I was like "that voice is very familiar....".

Good for them, I like hearing his commentary.

I think a ref just got a concussion at the wings/stars game.

Wow, this is just a bad year for head injuries.

Wash got Green back tonight. He instantly makes them an elite offense and subsequently an elite team. Don't count them out.

Who counted them out? There's no way they don't win the weak Southeast again.

I'd love to see Larsson win the Calder. He's so good even if he is a Debbie. He won't because people love offense but he's been really good in my opinion.

Huh? This seems like a snap judgment after watching one game. He's been very meh. Solid for a kid his age, but considering the hype, he's been underwhelming. Hedman 2.0

Hardly underwhelming. He's looking very comfortable. Sure he's not lighting it up, but overall, for his first season at 18, I'd say he's been as much as expected.

Maybe as much as you or I expected. But relative to the hype surrounding him on draft day and how he was the "best defenseman in the SEL" playing against men, and called the next Lidstrom, he's been quite exactly, underwhelming. I'm sure he'll have a great career, but he's not even close to Calder discussion.

Until the injury, RNH was going to run away with the Calder.

Oh yeah. And even now I'd say there are several forwards ahead of Larsson.

Every swedish d-man is called that. Besides Lidstrom wasn't the next Lidstrom at age 18. For an 18yr old D-man to play the way Larsson has, I am impressed.
