The third could get ugly. I also think the Russians could win that battle too.

Canadian WJC hasn't had a bonafide goalie play for them since Carey Price? Who has played after him? I remember Tokarsi (thanks Pierre Mcguire)

I think Gallagher is pretty selfish with the puck as well. multiple times he could pass and doesn't and either loses the puck or takes a weak shot

Mason was the last one to win gold IIRC.

Steve Mason was quite good in 2008.

Misconduct for hitting his stick on the boards?

Not sure how many times I've seen a player smash their stick on the ice or boards without a call.

Why does Hay hate NB so much, and so little ice time for such an offensive minded player? Or is there a reason I missed that Nathan is getting such little ice time?

Wow...just wow...that HAD to be one of the worst reffing calls I have seen in a long time. Jenner almost gets his head taken off by a big time charge/interference/elbow and is bleeding, out of frustration he gives an opponent a gentle nudge, like the type of poke you would give to a friend and HE gets 5 minutes and the Russian guy gets 2...like wow...just wow.

Maybe it's just that all these guys are the "go to" guys on their team, so they tend to be more selfish. I'm sure they'll get that knocked out of them in the NHL. Yakupov OTOH will be a puck magnet for whichever team he plays for.

Basically bad bounces, poor goaltending, and some questionable officiating.

Canada just didnt capitalize and it snowballed.

So you need a goal, there's actually nothing to lose and you don't use Beaulieu more? How are those rock solid d-men so far?

And like it or not, in this tournament, Gallagher has been dissapointing. But other guys have been as well. Where is Mr. NHL preseason Scheifele?

Man, there goes the Don Hay myth. By the way, I haven't seen a good and complete canadian hockey team in a while. They won gold a couple of years ago, but I think the last all-around team was the lockout team.
