Damn - but what a comeback...that was an awesome 8 minutes...so close...still bitter to lose, but far less at 6-5.

Probably the most exciting 10 minutes of hockey that I have ever seen.

******* Nathan Beaulieu. If he doesn't give up on the play on that 6th goal, this game goes to OT (hypothetically).

Anybody want to trade for him????? (kidding of course).

Ironically the one he took down and ended up scoring the goal was fellow Panther prospect Kucherov.

Agreed, why on earth would you ever stop skating there??? Happy they made it close and played through until the end. Couple bad bounces and an excessive amount of stupid penalties and that's the result you're gonna get - at least they never stopped competing.

Also is it too late to revise my prospect rankings? Kuznetsov was incredible out there haha

Concerned for Ryan Murray - hope he's under suicide watch, just completely snakebitten to have 4 of the first 5 goals go in off of or because of him. That might even be worse than Granlund's whiff.

A night to forget, for some.

Yeah - mind you it was no Tommy Salo olympic gaffe - Murray has no national postage stamps to recall... He'll get over it, learn, and move on.

Officiating wasn't exactly stellar and did impact the game. But we needed to keep our composure - everyone knows the IIHFrefs are trigger happy when it comes to sending guys to the box. Don't give them a reason to give you 10 more.

I thought Connolly spoke well after the game.

Kuznetsov should drop by the Rusty Bean for a chat sometime

Ya, that play bothers me far more than anything Ryan Murray did. I don't like to make it personal when you're talking about the WJC, because they are teenagers after all, so of course they make mistakes, but it's always disappointing to see a player give up on a play so obviously.

To be sure, Murray can't really be faulted for most of the goals he was involved in - just bad luck. But Beaulieu obviously felt like most of us did watching at home as the score mounted. Hopefully he'll think of the comeback that followed, and remember how he could have prevented the goal that cost Canada a spot in the Gold medal game. The kind of lesson that sticks with you.
