Good to hear, finally get one of our lines with a good finisher with Clutter still being on the first line. Good to see Wellman practicing, but Lats I'm thinking won't be back until Feb.

So, where do they put Wellman when he returns? Since he's practicing with the team it sounds like he would return soon and we'll have Seto back against Vancouver. Seems like the only place for Wellman would be the 3rd line, but then they would have to break up Johnson-Brodz-Powe, and they are great together. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Wellman the call up when Seto went down?

If Seto and Wellman are both ready to go and relative soon (assuming Wellman stays up), I believe the lines would look like this:

Seto - Koivu - Heatley
Bouchard - Cullen - Wellman
Johnson - Brodziak - Clutterbuck
Powe - Peters - Staubitz/Kassian (Peters/Powe interchangeable)
scratches - Staubitz/Kassian, Gillies

It's really sad to think that we could get two forwards back and Peters would still me in the lineup.

If were gonna go with that I say why not try Kassasination - Powe - Sawdust as a 4th line of pure pain?

Good news. Let's hope he comes back and starts playing like he wants to be here.

It's official: Seto and Wellman are both back.

If everyone's thought of as 100% I would guess:

Seto-Koivu-Heater
Butch-Cullen-Wellman
Johnson-Brodziak-Clutter
Powe-Peters-Staubitz

If one of Seto/Wellman isn't 100% I'd guess:

Heater-Koivu-Clutter
Butch-Cullen-Wellman/Seto
Johnson-Brodziak-Powe
Wellman/Seto-Peters-Staubitz

Yeah that looks about right. It will be nice to see the team mostly healthy.

This line up looks approximately 1 billion times better than the one we started with a couple of games ago.

I don't think it can be understated how much the speed of wellman and the goochie man will help this team get back on the right track.

Would have really liked to see Kassian - Powe - Staubtiz. Then have that line get out there for a few shifts at the begining to beat up on the sedins

If Heater and Koivu don't light it up soon, how long until Yeo shakes up the line-up?

Wellman - Koivu - Seto
Heater - Cullen - PMB

those top-6 are pretty set, but the lines can be mixed-and-matched a bit....

We know Yeo won't ever separate Koivu and Heatley, so probably nothing aside from shuffling the RW. Unless/until this team gets a quality offensive center, we're kind of stuck in neutral.

Clutterbuck will be back on the third line soon. That, in and of itself, should put a little bit of bounce back in the team. Johnson-Brodziak-Powe was good while it lasted, but they need to be juggled back now that they've cooled off. With Clutterbuck back in the bottom 6, he can focus more on agitating and hitting again, instead of being forced into a "shooter" role. Hopefully we can move one of our D, and Scandella either gets back into form or is demoted to Houston. This team needs to just get set back into their proper roles, and go a week or three without a roster change outside of the 4th line.

A healthy Gui would fix a lot of the scoring problems, way better fit as

Gui-Koivu-Heater
Pmb-Cullen-Seto

**** get healthy Gui

Gui was the only guy on the roster who could reliably score goals. Damn shame.

I wonder if the arrival of Seto means Clutter could be traded? They're similar players, except Seto isn't as physical and makes more money. Clutter could bring back a haul too. And we have Bulmer who could play next year.

Zucker + Clutter + 1st/2nd for Parise

Parise-Granlund-Latendresse
Heatley-Koivu-Bouchard
Cullen-Brodziak-Setoguchi
Bulmer-Powe-Johnson

That would be fun to watch.

No way are those the lines. Koivu is line one center next season... no way a rookie takes the captain's spot. I could see Granlund as a wing with Koivu and Parise.. but it'd more likely be Parise - Koivu Heatley.

Not going to comment on the specific deal, but I don't know if the optics are right yet to trade Clutterbuck. It has been a little over 6 months since the Burns trade, but I don't know if ownership would be happy with a Clutterbuck move at this point. A trade for Parise would ease the pain (if we were confident he'd re-sign) from a marketing perspective, but I really can't see Clutter being moved until after Granlund or Bulmer start selling jerseys.
