let wolski wait his turn this team doesn't need any adjustments unless one of the call ups stop producing

Dont like Wolski anywhere else in the lineup.

Mitchell goes soon. Hasnt done much to be happy about in a while.
I agree that is the only logical place but to play him ahead of two guys who have earned the right to play there (Dubi and Hagelin) is something I'm not ready to do.

Good thing it's not your decision

Kidding obviously...

But in all seriousness...where the heck do we play WW? Along side Richards is intriguing simply because I think Richards can get the absolute most out of a guy like WW.

I agree completely. Hagelin has played all too well to drop him down and Dubinsky has really turned it on as well. I don't know if Hagelin can keep up this pace and he was invisible in the last game but neither of those are reasons to drop him from his spot at this point in time.

But if Wolski works there that gives you three lines that can do a little bit of everything, especially with Dubinsky's reemergence.

You don't "deserve" to be anywhere if it makes the team better for you to be somewhere else- see Richards and Stepan.

Of course, we don't know if Wolski is going to work there. BUT, on the chance that he does, I put him there with no questions.

Try him there when the team loses two consecutive games or goes 1-2 over a stretch. Team is playing too consistently well right now to change anything.

Mitchell is a Torts guy:

AA-STEP-GABS
DUBI-BR-CALLY
WW-BB-HAGS
RUPP-MITCH-PRUST

FEDS

Competition is a good thing. The guys in the lineup know that Wolski is good to go and waiting in the wings to take someone's spot who slips. No one wants to be the guy that comes out of the lineup right now. When's the last time we actually had depth like this? We have 3 NHL forwards (Wolski, Avery, EC) who can't get a second of ice time right now.

What game were you watching Hagelin was all over the puck had several shots on goal , won several foot races for the puck

I still don't understand why people are inserting Wolski in on the 2nd line for Hagelin.

I suggest that Torts try several things in practice, and see what works. Wolski on the 2nd line has potential. Sadly, Anisimov being a good winger leaves us without a good 3rd line center. I wouldn't be against looking at what some of our surplus forwards would get us. I don't really understand the hate W2's getting despite playing, what, SIX games this season?

Guys, we have too many serviceable forwards. We have to FIND ROOM to put all of these good players. This is a little bit awesome.

because you could maximize two assets instead of stretching one and losing the other. this is the thinking. whether it's correct or not, remains to be seen. but i - for one - believe in giving wolski a shot with richards. if he does play to his potential (remember, he's just 25 and has four 40-plus point seasons under his belt) you could theoretically have two very good scoring lines and possibly the best third line i've ever seen on the rangers. (along with a nice tough checking fourth line). very nice idea...it's not guaranteed, but worth a month's shot.

At the same time, you mess with chemistry.

They're going to wait until he forces his way into the lineup. You might throw him in there for a game, but overall, I don't think WW's life on game days is going to change much in the near future.

I dunno. I didn't notice him in that game the way I have in almost every other game. Maybe I was just paying too much attention to other things and didn't notice him despite him having a good game.

@thenyrangers: Torts says he's "not looking to change the lineup" even though Wojtek Wolski could play "he'll have to wait his turn"

I really like this, why try and fix something that aint broke.

cause Wolski needs to be in a top 6 role or he is useless while Hagelin is a perfect 3rd liner

Feds is a Torts guy too, but over the last 6 games he's been getting less and less ice time. It seems Torts likes Mitchell more at the minute.

I think it may come down to Feds vs Mitchell for that last spot.

FEDS is a smart player but boy does he look to have some heavy legs lately . MITCHELL is hard on the puck , and plays his cycling roll very well . FEDS def a much more polished plays still but I think could use some nIgbts off from time to time .

As long as hagelin and Mitchell are playing like they are now, leave things as is. If hagelin stops producing on the 2nd line which I don't see him doing bump him the the third inserting wolski on the second like, Mitchell being the odd man out.

Unless a forward gets injured or is playing very poorly, or the team goes through a losing streak, there is no reason for Wolski to play.

The Rangers have won 7 of their last 8 games. It's obvious that Torts thinks the current lineup is the best possible lineup otherwise Wolski would have gotten a chance to play since he is now healthy.

Whatever the heck works I am happy with. Just saying if Wolski does play he needs to have an offensive role

Also when comparing Feds and Mitchell both can help but Feds is a proven vet NHLer while Mitchell is a fringe player. He's mainly played in the AHL. Well worth the 7th rounder
